Get the military to go down to Florida and help people that don’t have the resources to move, and evacuate the area that will be affected by Hurricane Milton. ASAP. No exceptions, No one left behind. God speed.

@@mjcleveland4787 I'd not choose to deny anyone of their religious convictions. Be aware that your millions aren't the only millions and not everyone shares your faith. And dropping, "Please Pray", randomly is not going to gain any converts. Many of who question the wisdom of worshipping such a hateful god, and then praying for protection from it.

Hurricane Milton, described as a "once-in-a-generation" storm, has captured attention due to its potential intensity and track toward Florida. While no single storm can be directly attributed to climate change, there is substantial scientific evidence linking global warming to an increase in the frequency and intensity of such extreme weather events. Climate change, driven by the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leads to warmer ocean temperatures. This warming provides more energy to fuel hurricanes, resulting in stronger storms with higher wind speeds and greater rainfall potential. Sea level rise, another consequence of global warming, exacerbates storm surge impacts, increasing the risk of coastal flooding during hurricanes. Although the exact contribution of climate change to Hurricane Milton’s formation and strength is difficult to isolate, it is consistent with the observed trend of more powerful and destructive hurricanes in recent years. A Category 5 hurricane is the most intense classification on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, which ranks hurricanes based on their sustained wind speeds. Category 5 hurricanes are defined by having sustained wind speeds of 157 mph (252 km/h) or higher. These hurricanes are extremely dangerous and capable of causing catastrophic damage. Key characteristics of a Category 5 hurricane: Wind Speed: 157 mph (252 km/h) or more. Damage Potential: Homes and buildings are at extreme risk of being severely damaged or destroyed, including total roof failure and wall collapse. Extensive tree and power pole destruction, often leading to long-term power outages. Roads, bridges, and coastal infrastructure can be heavily impacted by both wind and storm surge. Storm Surge: Often, Category 5 hurricanes bring massive storm surges, causing severe coastal flooding that can extend miles inland, with the potential for permanent changes to coastal landscapes. Some famous Category 5 hurricanes include Hurricane Katrina (2005), Hurricane Andrew (1992), and Hurricane Dorian (2019). These storms caused widespread devastation, loss of life, and long-term economic and environmental impacts.

Floridians might as well built their homes next to an active volcano. You know you will be hit by a hurricane multiple times per year 100% guaranteed. Are they tempting fate? I don't wish anyone to be hurt, but why do these people think they live in a safe area? It's just insane to think a hurricane will never destroy my home.

You're confusing hurricane landfalls that affect parts the state with those that affect a given location. Florida is a bit bigger than Rhode Island. Wherever Milton, or any other storm makes landfall in the state, there are parts enjoying fair (maybe breezy) weather. More to the point: The areas affected by the core of the storm, the strongest part, are a tiny part of the state overall. For example, I was 100 miles from Helene's landfall, and we got nothing, ZIP. That's not unusual. More typically, my location has been strongly affected by hurricanes THREE times in the past 60 years (far cry from your "multiple times per yar 100% guaranteed), and that's far more typical. Only ONE of those three made a direct strike, the other two were outside of the heaviest impact. THIS is normal. I challenge you to name any location that is inhabited, that is also immune to natural disasters.

I’m telling you every storm that they predict hitting Tampa always turns either to Punta Gorda or Fort Myers area. I live in Fort Myers and I would put money on this storm, making its landfall on us or Punta Gorda
