Today we have some discussion about sheared flywheel keys on husqvarna chainsaws and some information about timing. I have a 372 that was bogging in the cut and popping a bit too, and I figured out that the timing was too far advanced. 372's should retain stock timing. So I returned it to stock form and the saw rips! All better! Thanks to the guys at arboristsite.com Sorry I don't have running video, as this was more intentioned to be a discussion of what happened / how to fix a timing issue.
Thanks and happy diying.
UPDATE: Dec 18, 2015 ... The saw that was boggy and then was fixed was sold, and has come back. No power. hmm.... took the cover off thinking the timing was off / had slipped. Nope. Because I had marked with a sharpy marker on the flywheel AND had ground a groove on the crankshaft, I could clearly see the timing was not off. ah, but it was. The ignition coil was loose! a little blue loctite and back up and running!
