You said people rip off small churches. It's been my experience that churches hunt high and low for the lowest price. When you shop for low price your accidently shopping for a hack and there's no shortage of them. Believe me that church will never pay the price to have that work completely redone right. They will figure, works good enough as is. A wise pastor will spend the people's money to get a quality job done even though it costs more than a hack.

I had a Church approach me on suspected high CO. I went there, they had new Goo man heat pumps. Who ever did that hack job, took RTU’s out that had Economizers, and minimum outside air. Put no outside air RTU heat pumps in. Also someone did a hack job on the Restrooms Exhausts. They abandoned the Exhaust PRV’s and put fans in that just blew the air above the ceiling. Tried to tell them it was high CO2, with no ventilation. I gave up when they got some counter advice, from someone at a WaWa.

I've seen it done but obviously not a good idea to put a 90+ in a attic. 🤯 That was a perfect example of high quality equipment made into garbage because of a poor install. Amazing.... When I first started my career my pastor asked me to install the units in our new building. I was reluctant because I was not confident working by myself on a new install. Pastor really had faith in me even as I explained why I was not comfortable. He ended up finding someone else that did it very quick and dirty. I dont know the details if they charged for the hack job but from the looks of it they did not charge. It still works but not sure for how long. Always take the time to do it right even if your donating time. Our product is like our word, some people dont care enough to be honest.

Some other guy told me we just put temparture fuses that are rated 68, or 72 degress instead of thermostat. It works just fine. The heat is steam from a big Weil Mclain dry boiler and the exchanger valves to the coil can freeze when not used as the space is not occupied all the time. Love the gutiar.
