I am a first mechanic Cool Tech. from holland and I love following your videos! In my work(retail) I work all day with this kind of regulators. Brands: Danfoss,Eliwell,Emerson,Dixon,Elreha...... The small ones have all the same problem, the insite relay are too light evendo they say there not. So always use bigger outsite relais too spare the regulator! Pardon my English. Greetz. Rob

Neat device. The functions remind me of the Carrier "Comfort Link System" on package units where you can scroll down & see alarm histories, etc. It also displays trouble codes & even allows you to read low & high side pressures, refrigerant temps & much more.

The blower is usually set up on the high speed in cooling mode. You could change the speed wires to a lower speed but then you have to be careful about freezing the evaporator coil.

Great video Dr. Z. !!! Can't wait to work on one of those units! I appreciate the crash coarse on these new display controllers. I'll try to visit my local Baker Distributor for a manual. Hope to see more interesting videos.

this technology has been around and in use back in 70s. Used widely in Industrial sector on 90s on a more complicated scale. By that I mean the tech must know how to program logic in these systems. Greatest thing that has happened to HVACR world.

Hey Dr.Z, I have a question, I have a 5 year old GE refrigerator that has non condensables in the system. Earlier you said it's probably motor winding insulation. How would I get this out of my system? Would I have to change the compressor, or just evacuate the system?

The system will remove more moisture if you put the fan on a lower speed. I wouldn't expect the system to shut down on a really hot day. It's normal to see a system running all day. Like I said before, just be careful not to freeze the evaporator coil.

your best bet is to learn DDC Controls...That's what i was learning in my hvac school...You learn a bit of electronics, electric, inputs and outputs of a device etc...

I have a question about refrigerant types, I have done some research on R410A refrigerant, and i've found it can run much cooler while maintaining a higher pressure. Do you think R410A could be a suitable refrigerant for medium or low temperature refrigeration?

Oh no more undiagnosable electronics, not saying that all electronics are bad, just they're often made too cheap.
