Do you ever set the motor amps based on SFA with heat & when OL comes into play you add a 10% - 15% cushion? If there is a telemanique OL or similar?

Typically I just set it to what the manufacturer tells me to. But it sounds like you might have some knowledge I don't have if you care to elaborate I would love to learn :)

When you put the two motor leads into the one side of the insulated connector…do you twist the two wires first? Or do you just have them side by side with the screw coming down on them?

So if you twist them together they'll have a better connection. It was so long ago I cannot remember what I did.But the entire socket is still so as long as it's making connection with somewhere in there it should work. But twisting them together would not hurt

Is there anything cool I could use an old engine like this for? Any diy projects to build or and good uses. I hate throwing away good engines.

I mean the one that I took out of there was bad so there's nothing I could really do with it. But I mean i'm sure you could find something online :)
