Couple factoids I didn't mention but could have: Diphtheria toxin MOA is that it inhibits elongation factor-2 (EF-2), which is same MOA as Pseudomonas toxin. They can give vignette of diphtheria, for instance, and then the answer is just "inhibits translation," or "inhibits protein synthesis." Pertussis toxin inhibits G-alpha-i G-proteins, which causes increased cAMP. And if they ask which antibiotic to give for pertussis and to close contacts, the answer is erythromycin. NBME is not same as Qbank and doesn't care about which phase of pertussis the patient has; answer on exam is just give the erythromycin.

Hey Mike! I love your channel and content! I am finding it very relevant and useful as an IMG studying for the MCCQE. Honestly, even the way I approach vignettes has improved. Thank you and keep being awesome! To the other ppl out there, I can’t be the only one listening in 0.75x. Pls tell me I am not alone in this.
