Could this be used for concentrated solar thermal energy?

Just contacted a Parans rep (April 2014) who said it is $6-8K for @1000 square feet of lighting. Would be great to see this technology challenge the skylight/solar tube industry. Apparently the fiber optic cables do not bend w/o damage beyond 50 degrees and the length of the run is still limited to@ 45' for the best results. Still access to first level, hard to reach areas of 2-story homes or apt. complexes would be available. While now, without clear attic access, daylight for darker, windowless rooms is not an option with skylights or solar tubes.

I love the idea of harnessing the power of sunlight directly at >50% efficiency rather than converting it into electricity and back at

Awesome technology use. I am viewing for the first time in 2013 which is 6 years after the program (guessing from info in program). The price was estimated at $10k then so I am curious to see if it is affordable now. Anyone have any current info?

Can you increase main mirror size and use a mechanical up and down in amd out of focus mechanisme to regulate the light and than use autoshading glass and light sensors at a distance to predict when to move the second mirror in case of clearing clouddiensten and use and use the electric autoshading glass to prevent fire and than move the second mirror to regulate light intensiteit so in winter and summer and high and low amount of light you can use it always ??? So an extra led system is only necesary in case of darknrs outside !!!
