12:35 Nooooo! Don't do that! Just click and hold save, click and release osc1, then osc2 and finally release save. Osc1 is now copied into osc2. (Of course, afterwards de-tune both separately.) That modwheel trick to scan through the waves is a neat trick, though! Tip: in the modmatrix press the Ribbon button and scroll two places back. Bam! modwheel. ;) Tip2: calculating the depth of the wavescan is not that hard: 128 (max) / 8 (slots) * 5 (used) = 80. Another small thing to add: since you explained everything like to a beginner, you also should have mentioned you've disabled vibrato on the modwheel in the voice menu. After saying all this, thank you for sharing your insights. I really like following these videos.

Sweet demo. I have an SCI Prophet VS and a Waldorf Microwave XT, this thing sounds very similar. Hopefully in the next release they will let you import your own single cycle waveforms.

You can load your own wavetables to hydrasynth?

No, the video is mostly about the process of selecting invidual waveforms to form a cohesive wavetable. Workflow, the process / approach in selecting waveforms, and then some interesting ways to modulate them.

Not sure if I'm ever ended up making one. This is an old video. Shot before I knew the shortcut for copying over wave tables, mutators, etc.

I had the idea that the waveforms might be designed to imitate real-world sounds, if I only knew which to use as transients, etc. Maybe these might create a good "wooden" sound, while those are more like a stringed instrument. But your initial comments about where on the freq spectrum these waveform choices are got me thinking I might be way overthinking this. I really appreciate you sharing how you fish through the waveforms looking for a good fit. To me, the waveform choices are a bit overwhelming, so this strategy is really helpful.

Great video; I have a stupid question that's driving me nuts: How can I unlink the Mod Wheel from the vibrato? I'd like to link it to PolyAT. When I go into Voice and reduce Vibrato to 0, then assign PolyAT to vibrato, it ONLY works when the mod wheel is turned up and I'm pressing a key hard, however, it affects ALL keys, so it's not behaving like poly AT. It's behaving as if the PolyAT is rather "re-engaging" the global (mod wheel) vibrato. This is super frustrating and I can't imagine why they wouldn't make vibrato a basic function of aftertouch - it seems so damn obvious for expressive control of notes. What am I missing?
