this is fire! i do not work with ableton though and this is a m4l device. do you have any other vst recommendations to get this 'type of sound'?

One option would be to start using Ableton Live. Unfortunately, I don't know of any VST plugins that are similar to Opal. If I find any, I will definitely let you know!

@@NoSoundAnomaly I may have expressed myself a little imprecisely there. I didn't mean the sound of Opal but the "hypnotic" sound in general :) Any recommendations?

@@iudaoh3qzad21eAny EQ would do for frequency manipulation or get Uvi Shade/Minimal Audio Morph to get easy modulation like Slink Filter. Then modulation effects like phaser and chorus then play around with reverb and delay. Can make a chain like that on any sound really. Bitwig is another fantastic DAW for doing parameter modulations with

Opal is FM based synthesis, so perhaps look into VST's that are FM based. And use a step sequencer that lets you modulate VST parameters.
