Glad I've been changing with synthetic at no more than 4000 mile intervals on my five year old Kia, burns a little between changes but so far so good. 🤞

A good rule of oil changes is you never do to many oil changes so if you are at 2500 miles on a oil change and your gonna do a long road trip do a oil change. Fresh oil will never hurt your engine

My GF 2014 Tucson had engine crap out recently at somewheres around 130,000 miles. She was religious about the oil changes using synthetic last 3 years. Still had engine bearing failure. It's probably more about the highway driving speeds these days. Engines can't take it.

Hey , My vw tsi car says - "minimum octane 91, recommended octane 95" (EU Standard).. Am I ok with 91 octane if I want to keep the car for 200K miles? (91 octane here is 87 at your side) ,,,Mind you the price gap between 91 and 95 here is considerable...

If it says minimum 91 you'll be okay with 91. Just the car won't run as efficiently as it will back the timing off and as a result get worse gas mileage and less power.

@@saulgoodman124 when it comes to octane I find the biggest difference is how you plan on driving the car. Of course higher octane is best. However I believe if you’re not driving the hard or aggressively you can alternate between high and lower octane fuels. The tune up conditions also dictate how the car will perform on lower octane fuels. Lots of things to keep in mind.

We also get mixed messages - the manual for my Trax 2024 says change the oil every 7500 miles. And yet, I got my first oil change at the dealer at 850 miles to get rid of the break in filings, and the sticker they put on my windshield said come back in 5000 miles/3 months. I'll be changing my oil every 4000 miles.

Do a oil change between 3k to 6k and do a trans fluid change about 25k to 50k
