absolutely insane that so many of them can build tattoo machines. that shit sounds COMPLICATED
@jamesclark6420

Actually making a prison style tattoo machine is surprisingly simple. They can be made from a variety of common materials and work remarkably well. I've tried it. Lil' B has a great video where he makes one and then uses it to do an amazing job. He did adapt a commercial needle bar to it though, rather than using a piece of guitar string or a stretched out lighter spring. But they work well too.

The felon who didn't go to prison probably also had no previous crime record and it wasn't directly violent on top of having a good lawyer. So something like firing a "warning shot" that wasn't directed at someone.

I got my first tattoo in jail. I got a dotted line on my wrist. We got a staple from the jail rule book, we straitened it out and grinded it on the wall to make a point. Guy took the tip off a ink pen, blew the ink in a toothpaste cap. Poked me up in between the rounds and like 10 minutes later we got it done. Definitely getting some more ink once I get out tho.

Lol too funny. Next to no artist had a real clue about what do to as a lifer in prison. First off youd wanna remove any gang marks. Clovers. Krowns. Red or blue stars. I think a bunch of these artists would end up working for ( not by choice ) a gang doing all their work. Youd have to work hard to be a prison tattoo artist with no affiliations and stay that way. Guards will want u caught. Rival tattooers n gangs will snitch on u. With no husstle u dont eat so its a dog eat dog world in level 3 n 4.

Can't get cigs in there and I've seen a whole back piece for $150 lol I was a correctional officer for 4 years and the good tattoo guys don't take long and get busted often and go to seg. Had a guy one time try ti go to seg just cause and did a search and he had a whole tattoo kit in his boxers to tattoo himself in seg.

I just got to say this, Ive been watching the Inked snapchat vidoes. My god I have never witnessed the biggest egotistical fuckheads in my life. Why do these artists talk as if they are some sort of god and know their customers better than they know themselves .At the end of the day these artists provide a service and whatever the customer so choses to have on their body should be granted to them. If you ever expericece any artists such as these, walk and dont do business with them. Artists need to get over themselves before ever consider running a business fr.
