Great video. Thanks for sharing what you've done with the block a day for 100 days. I've decided to use my stash (and mostly a lot of leftover fabric from fat quarter bundles) to make a block a day for a month at a time. I cut all the fabrics for 30 snowball blocks in August and I'm making one a day in September. At the end I'll have a 5x6 block layout for a small quilt top.

So happy to see you again. You mentioned asking for feedback on what to see / do. I'd love to know how to downsize a block square. I'm new to quilting and am loving all that I'm learning and trying, thanks to your sharing your wonderful blocks. I'd love to resize blocks to 4" (tiny, I know, but important to me for a special reason). Can you / anyone suggest how I might accomplish that? Thank you for sharing your time and talent. Greatly appreciated and I can't wait to try another of your new designs.
@jessica_dayon
16 күн бұрын
Thanks! I'd say the best way to do it (if you can't figure the math out) is to use a computer program. I use EQ8. I can draw in a block or choose one from their library and then resize to any size and get cutting instructions or make paper or FPP templates of that block.

Hi Jessica from the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. I was so happy to have found you on YT. You're such a delightful presenter who's obviously very talented and in control of your agenda for future projects. I've already decided to do some sailing boat on waves for a future quilt and I'm sure gonna try out some of the designs you showed here. I'm wondering if you've come across a Moda Jolly Bar pattern called "Morning Glories" which is from the Georgia Collection (sold by Fat Quarter Shop). Anyway, as you may have guessed, I bought this and I'd love to watch a demonstration of how to make this quilt. I've trawled the net but cannot find one so I thought I'd just cheekily add this to your very long list of future projects for consideration. Thankyou again for your great videos. I've just subscribed so I won't miss any of your demo's.

Welcome back. Love your blocks. Can you tell us the size blocks your samples you showed? Love the red and chambray. I have not used Moda chambray yet. Might need to order some. I just may need to attempt your “100 day” challenge. Might start Sept but for “30” and then follow up with “60”, which will end right after Thanksgiving . What seems to be your go-to block size during the challenge for those not already for a certain project in mind? Thank you in advance and look forward to what you have planned!
@jessica_dayon
17 күн бұрын
Thank you! The blocks I showed are all different sizes- 5", 6", 8", and 12". I think even doing a 30 day challenge is great! I don't have a go-to size really. Specifically, for this time around in this challenge, I am not putting any limitations on myself. Each day, I just make whatever I feel like making. If you are trying to choose blocks that can be used together, two different options come to my mind- 1.) You can make a size that you don't typically make to push yourself into becoming comfortable with some thing that you usually aren't, or 2.) You can pick a size you are comfortable making so that size isn't really part of the challenge for you.
