@leej.a.7810 People are concerned about premiums. Well, before retiring in 2020, I'd put back enough cash, green pieces of paper at home that would have easily lasted a year with no other income. Today I still have that cash, and I think now, if I were very frugal that money might last eight months, maybe. So, what's better, green paper that's constantly losing value, or silver? I'm voting for silver. If it's not good for anything else, I can melt it down and make bullets with it.

Why does silver suck right now? You're mistaken, silver sucks most of the time. Silver is a leap of faith for most people to buy into. Some find comfort sniveling silver prices are manipulated by the greedy players in the silver market but that doesn't change fact of silver's historic price performance. It only changes the rules of the game to when some small time player should buy silver. Silver is a price range bound commodity, It stays within a range of prices over a long time period and gradually inches upward on the average in spot price. The best strategy is to buy on a price low that last for relatively short periods of time. 99% of the time it not the best time to buy silver. Coming close to the sweet spot in price is very good too because it's nearly impossible to know were a price bottom is. Buy during deep dips in the price at a price trigger you choose whether it's a 1 year low or maybe even a shorter or longer period of time. Any buying should be judged from a silver retail price low, not necessarily when the spot price is low. Premiums charge for physical silver complicate spot price and thus the actual price you pay. The current dip isn't deep enough yet for me. If it doesn't get deep enough, then it's not worth the risk of buying. Most stackers start off underwater buying silver and they will stay there until silver price can keep its head above the price point to break even and stay there for a long period of time to make up for the premiums they paid for it. Then silver needs to keep with it's advertised promise of being a hedge against inflation from the loss of buy power of the dollar. Those are high hills to climb for a perennial disappointer to overcome those obstacles. Silver will go up. The question is when and for how long. I own silver but I have learned to be patience and buy more only when the price point is reached. There usually will be blood on Silver Street and many stackers will be ringing their hands about silver and many capitulating. Bullion sellers love the idea of buy silver regularly with dollar cost averaging. Dollar cost averaging is a great idea for the retailers, not so great for the stackers and stackers who get caught up in collecting silver buying neato looking silver produce and the latest series stamped onto silver. There is money to be made with numismatic value but it not as simple as just buying any silver that is offered for claimed numismatic value.
@poochewcaboo1860

Absolutely perfectly stated! These shills claiming manipulation of price prey on not very smart people which have no clue about supply and demand. Very simple folks. If price was manipulated and silver is in so much demand premiums would be outlandish. According to some shills silver is worth $500? Really man? These shills should be in jail actually. I get paper market is manipulated but you cannot dictate supply and demand on the physical. Simple as that folks.

silver is rarely occurs in high concentration in ores... usually it is byproduct of other metal mining.... having few high yield silver mine would do nothing.... silver usage by industries are very high and at the last 4 years our mining is less every year than the actual usage, so we are eating away already existing stocks that are mined at the past..... you can't just find high yield silver mines because they are pretty rare and even so a wast field of copper mine with 1% silver residue in the ore would yield many times more silver compare any other just purley silver mine.... so if we need significantly more silver we have to mine other metals more intensively like copper etc.

There are a few central banks that have been buying up a lot of gold in the last couple of years but not silver. That probably has a lot to do with why gold is moving upward but not silver.

i think whats happening is the economy is slowing down and most retail is starting to sell their most liquid assets to get by. precious metals are some of the most liquid asset. Most people are anticipating a recession this year and they are going into the bond market and making the dollar stronger. i think we are going to continue seeing silver to drop. we always see this before a recession.

I like all the variety of rounds and coins you have. When I syar5ed stacking last year I was more sticky going for coins that are minted near or in the US but I have found myself really enjoying picking up the more unique design coins and rounds. It really makes stacking a lot of fun and more enjoyable.

At my LCS people are massively dumping physical silver. I constantly hear people saying that they wished they never bought silver and just stacked cash instead. People are pissed at Silver especially since many people are underwater when selling their Silver due to low demand and premiums lost

Past 20 years the value of the dollar has gone down, meanwhile the price of silver has gone up. The idea of the old of stacking cash under the mattress is a horrible idea right now with the massive printing we have been doing. We've been fending off the crash by printing more, Also we haven't felt the crash yet because the government is STILL spending those COVID dollars... it's still getting pumped into the economy downplaying the original effects of printing it. I think those selling like that were hoping silver was a get rich scheme which it is not in my opinion.

interesting video. just came from another one of yours about GSR released about 4 years ago, at the time the GSR was about 1:86.5 and today it is around 91.4 - the all time high was 121 and the lowest was 6.7 back in the 1800s. apparently some people think is should be 1:16 but at any rate it is near the widest GSR, historically. the last time it was really reasonable was in the 80s at 9.2 and 2011 at 30.7 - i learned all of this after watching your video and wanting to learn more. now i see this video and it looks like silver is really lagging behind gold more each year. its possible there is something strange going on with JP Morgan or something with market forces. something i was thinking about was the possibility that there are simply more silver coins available than gold coins. and with reserves not keeping silver on hand, the market is more or less flooded with them, thus driving down the price. anyways, thanks for the videos and information

I've read the silver miners have stopped selling into the market as they'd be taking a loss. I expect 2024 will first see a price sag down below $20 then a big jump in the latter half of the year when the economy hits another bad stretch or the next false flag event throws markets into turmoil..

Good videos. I always learn something. First If your stacking quit looking at price in USD. Look at silver related to gold. Silver is a buy. If you are worried about price and a return in USD then go invest in the SP 500. Buying and holding silver long term is not really a good investment if you are never planning on selling. Which to me is the point of stacking. You are stacking because you are worried about some sort of 5 sigma financial event. I am not talking 2008, think Argentina. Second don't be so attached to your silver that you are afraid to trade it for gold. About once a decade or so you can do this and you end up doubling your stack without putting in any additional USD. I have used APMEX to do this. They are the only company I would trust now after BD.

I feel very fortunate to have just gotten into silver stacking over the last month. I never seriously considered it before, but with premiums, spot, sentiment, and the gold/silver ratio where they now, the risk/reward seems to be historically favorable to get started. If I had gotten started 10 years ago, I would certainly be pretty frustrated.

Stack while you can... Right now we are sitting at a major (another one) war starting. Expecting a surge this week.. Things are really heating up in middle east. And the last war start we gained almost 1.50 in a day... Also look at it as China is currently dumping all the silver they have been acquiring to cover the losses in their own economy. Now, I've heard rumors that they may change silvers designation, kinda removing the Comex strong arm to keep it down. If they reclassify it the price will out perform Gold as they have no new mines.

The bottom is NOT yet in for Gold and Silver but close. 1960 to 1920 for gold and 21 or 20 for silver. This may very well one will see these prices ever again. We are very close . Hang in their. If gold goes to say 10,000 or 20.000 as some say or even higher. Silver will not stay behind. Look at it when it could be 10 to 1. Their is a very short supply for silver for a very long time. The world is using it up for everything.
