Wishlist Ultranova on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/23...
I asked an AI chat to help me design a game. I thought it would be fun to test it out to see what it can actually do since there's been a lot of talk about AI lately. I was pretty excited about this experiment, and it launched the start of a new platformer game that I will be releasing on Steam, to begin with.
I will cover a lot of the development of Ultranova on the channel because there are plenty of things to share. I'm using Unity 2022 with the URP render pipeline. Some of the design principles I apply to make good progress are KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid, and Function over Form - i.e., make it work rather than producing beautiful code. I use an iterative prototype approach and learn things along the way. I'm excited to release my first own Steam game, considering I've mostly done small Ludum Dare games, and of course, my big co-dev project Line War also continues in parallel with this.
I hope you enjoy this video, and don't hesitate to comment with what your thoughts are :)

Additional info:
I've been modeling in Blender since about 2015, but more recently in the past couple of years. I've been making games and assets in Unity since 2011, and I'm currently working on a multiplayer RTS game called Line War.
I use a Sony FX3 camera with a Sony FE 2.8/24-70mm GM lens. My main microphone is now the Shure SM7B, and I use a Rode NTG3 shotgun mic if I need it to be out of view. I downgraded to a Focusrite Solo from my wonderful RME Fireface UFX II that I had to sell when I moved from Sweden.
Thanks a lot for watching and sharing my videos :)
