I just got rejected from Amazon without even an interview, so it's encouraging to hear it's not uncommon to have to apply multiple times

Definitely not uncommon! When I was working at Amazon, many of the colleagues applied multiple times before getting in - and they’re amazing at their job! Wishing you the best of luck for your career journey 💪

Its pretty easy to get an interview. U gotta tailor ur resume to the role and use a lot of keywords that will get the attention of the algorithm they use to screen resumes From there if u get an invite to take a behavioral OA, u gotta study their 16 leadership principles and answer the OA assessment with answers that will align with their values. You’ll have a really good chance to get an interview by doing that. Im not from a target school but got an internship with amazon this summer

@@bryan_350_5 I tailored my resume to the job, and had it professionally reviewed on top of that and didn't get anything. It's not really as easy as you're making it out to be.

I went to school for Game Art Design in 2008 finished in 2012 with B.A and still have not been able to find a great career. I have been at Lenovo repairing laptops for 6 months and I am ready to move to cloud computing. I'm currently studying AWS Solutions Architect Associate. This is a very good information love it!

Entering early retirement then suddenly I see Amazon recruiter sent me an email and asking me to join. Just got short listed and going for my interview next week. I do not expect to pass but you never know. I am honored that even consider me for a role within Amazon. That in itself brings my self esteem up. Even a mature guy can get recruited by Amazon. One more thing, It shows they do not care about age but skill set and experience which I feel more companies should follow.

Sure this stuff will work...eventually. The best way to get hired is through the forgotten and obscure art of "social networking'. Step one: Party with select individuals high up in the organization. Step two: take photographs at just the right time. Step three: Step four: give them the bucket name that has the mementos of the great time everyone had. Step five: Adjust to swanky new position!

Hey Lucy!! Super awesome video! As always, it was very informative and I got a lot of ideas about the path I want to take after I get my SAA certification. I have a bit of impostor syndrome right now because I feel like I have to know everything but this video has calmed that down tremendously and I love the interview with the software engineer now SA, when she said, you don't have to know everything, just be willing to learn and ask questions, so that really helps me! Thank you so much Lucy for all that you do for us and be well, be safe and Cheers!!!
