Put ‘em on the scale, Dewey! 😂 Hank Parker has been one of my all time favorite bass anglers since I saw him win the Classic in 1979. I have been watching his show since it first came out. A major reason why Hank is one of my favorites is because he is a decent man, a man of faith, although many professional bass anglers are good Christians. Hank has a great sense of humor and is a good sport and sportsman. I could say many of the same things about a lot of professional bass anglers but there is something special about Hank Parker that makes him one of the all time greats.

Great Classic stories, Hank. Thank you. There's a couple errors, though, and I mean no disrespect in my comments...you are one of my heroes. The Classic where Rick Clunn got lost in the fog, was the 1977 Classic, not the 1976 Classic. Also, the B.A.S.S. tournament at Lake Lanier, where you got 2nd to Gary Klein was not the Super B.A.S.S. tournament. It was the Georgia Invitational, held in Dec. 1985. Eight months earlier, in April, 1985, you had already completed your "Grand Slam", by winning the Super B.A.S.S. tournament, with Gary Klein finishing second. Thanks for chatting with me at the Tulsa Bassmaster Classic last month! Good fishin'.

Dalton Bobo finished 2nd in 1997.... a dead fish penalty was the difference! He said it died while waiting in line to weight in. They saw he was a contender so they kept moving him back in line. By the time they let him weigh in, it was dead and he lost by just a couple ounces due to the penalty. That had to hurt badly and I would be a bit bitter for a while probably. That was his First pro event to attend! He earned the spot in the classic by fishing to the top of the Federation.

Imagine how Jim bitter felt in 1989 when the winning fish flopped out of his hand and back into the James river.

$10,000 was probably enough money to buy a farm house with acreage and a brand new truck and still have money left over back in those days. 😂

Hey Hank. I will be purchasing a handful of spinnerbaits from your online tackle shop. Any chance you would autograph one of the packages? Been a fan since the early eighties. Thank you
