When I was a youngster I fell in love with music. When I was six years old I remember my mother playing a 45rpm record on our little turntable. It was a song by a chap named Digby Wolfe. It was a show tune kind of song but very catchy. When I was seven I was introduced to the Beatles music and from there my love for music was launched into orbit. By 1969 I was totally immersed in music and I was tuned in to the AM pop radio station 24/7 (or so it seemed). The music from 1969-1980 still has a special place in my heart. I only mention this because you said you had a flow of emotion listening to the Miles and Lenny album. I realize it was about it reminding you of your parents than an actual childhood memory of the album. When I hear songs like "Spirit In The Sky", "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)", "Sugar Sugar", and "Instant Karma" I am taken back to that little radio, elementary school, little league, neighborhood bicycle rides, and of course those little 45rpm discs I bought of my favorite radio hits with my meager allowance. Best investment I could have made because it enriched my soul with music that lasts to this day.

You should just ask people to send you five rando records from their record collections. I would probably do it. I saw you channel because im a weird old man fanboying on boygenius RN (fanboygeniusing?) I like this video part one being: what did i get? Part two being: whit did i think. It was fun. My requests for reviews would be Connie Constance “Miss Power” which has been kind of a hit for this UK artist, and for a classic 50-60s nostalgia thing Julie London, “Her name is Julie” which isnt all that far from the kind of music that Perry Como did, but its a very intimate minimalist take instead of a splendourous expansive take like what i imagine you heard on his record.
