Little tip with that dirko sealant, theres a little key looking tool that comes with it, pop it on the bottom of the tube and twist and it flows much smoother and allows you to be more consistent with it

Bought a 1.8 TFSI Black edition last month, got an oil pressure warning and started sounding like a bag of shit, the oil pump is probably about to fail. Turned the car off and left it with the dealership I bought it from to sort it. They gave it back to me after just changing an oil filter, i refused to take it back since it still sounded like a bag of shit and now I’m in legal battles lol. Fun times.

Buys a cheap example of a performance car. Hmmm. There's your main problem right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Oil pumps can go bad" huh... Regular oil changes are the preventative measure to take!!! My engine has 142000kms on it. Never burns oil! F me! ome should never own these sophisticated cars. Btw, ther 8P engine is the better of all S3's! No chain follower BS! No oil burn BS! Just maintain the things you've listed & you're good! Alos, they may be the bottom performer but, they are economical! Powerful! FWD cars for most of the driving. You can have your S5-S8's! Why? Seen the Gas price right now?!?..... P.S. Very much appreciated your clips of the repairs. 1000% :)

Had it done stage 1 within the first week, after 5 months car died same way as yours and guess what, oil pump. No warnings, no nothing, i was doing some pulls and suddenly it started rattling and same time the oil pressure light came up... hopefully now with my TTS CDL engine wont have same issues :P

Boys! When buying one of these S3's or A3's alike with the intention of driving hard. I suggest you add a freewheel to the Balance shaft. Reason why: The balance shaft rotates at twice the RPM of the engine in the opposite direction of the crankshaft in order to reduce engine vibration. Problem is: The max engine RPM is 8,000 RPM the max RPM for the Balance Shaft is 14,000 RPM. If you slap the rev limiter constantly it WILL explode.

I had audi a3 1.6 petrol 2005. Man that thing was total junk. Having spent silly money on it, i bought a suzuki liana estate 04 from a scrap yard. Paid £230 for it and spent around 130 for a suspension arm and a new bolt for exhaust and passed mot no issues. Had it 6 years now 184k miles, i thrashed its bolts off and still runs mint. Only ever asked me for clutch and thermostat.
