Nice. I have recently qualified as a SKODA technician. Must admit during my apprenticeship and now in the 4 years I’ve worked there. Only seen one or two of these. I worked on one recently and really enjoyed working on it. They drive quite nice too, plus there’s the bonus of having that PD engine. My old mentor used to have one too. He had that remapped and it didn’t half shift.

Hey Alex, the vRS was my first car I owned above 100hp and my first car I modified and started working on myself, and made myself a something of a self styled expert. This has got factory projectors and looks like cruise as well? Which are rare - most fabias had 0 option boxes ticked so any sort of spec is uncommon. The roof bars are a cool item, and those floormats have been discontinued for a few years - there's still some stock kicking around a few warehouses in Europe and a few TPS's, but they tend to be on back order and take a while to arrive. The mileage is nothing for these, and there looks to be minimal rust on arch and sills like these suffer from. As you say they get crashed a bit so unmarked body parts are rare and 90% are all up north. Those seat bolsters always wear really badly, the foam comes off the bar which breaks the fabric. TT seats DO NOT fit - only polo/ibiza/A1 FRONTS fit in a Fabia. If you're looking for a bit more kick, mine was 177hp with an ebay decat exhaust (which is always available and cheap as chips) , an 80mm intake cone and a generic map off ebay lol. Plenty of hybrid turbos to go on these as well, best ones are made by JW Automotive

My old Ibiza FR TDi had a mesh panel filter, a bigger intake pipe from the grill to airbox & a 2.5" turbo back exhaust and it made 144bhp with no smoke or remap. That power is quite low even for an old vRS. With that mileage and being stock, the EGR & Intake manifold will be choked up and the air flow will be terrible. The cat might be fairy clogged up as well. I'd fit an EGR delete, get the intake manifold removed and professionally cleaned, a more free flowing downpipe. 2.5" with cat removed is ideal for stock turbo. A full service as well might free up a few ponies, depending on when it was last done. If power was still poor after that, then it would need to be down to a boost leak, or else a very worn camshaft.

Alex, you have to do this with a Clio Sport 172/182 - try get a 182 with cup pack suspension or even a trophy. Its like a VRS but takes the correct fuel type and its way more exciting

My sister had a 182 Cup (I think, it had really light seats and cool winglets on the front splitter), I had a country lane blast in it one time, great car

Have to say I have always loved this shape fabia, used to admire them when I was an apprentice mechanic years ago, great little motors

Still have mine having put 100k miles on it. Even with a 2015 RS3 as my second car, the Fabia VRS doesn’t get boring!! - no one understands it until they drive one, but I’m glad you’re in agreement! However, put a rear anti roll bar on it to MASSIVELY improve the handling, and a powerflex gearbox dog bone mount really sorts out the gear change that you talk about. Brakes I cured by fitting grooved EBC front discs and decent pads with braided lines. Thank you for the mega videos!!

Hey bro, can you please explain to me what's the difference between VRS and regular fabia MK1? I have a regular fabia MK1 with 1.2 12V AZQ engine (64hp) Are just the engines different, or are they structuraly different cars?

Love these engines. I know you've had a few. I had a Bora TDI 130 highline, hybrid turbo, new clutch and SMIC and it was the best car I've ever owned. 220bhp, so a great sleeper, "muggage for days mate". I've got a 220bhp Polo 6C GTI now, which is brilliant. Drives better, looks better, handles better.... but still miss the Bora!

@@Winnister I upgraded to a Polo 6C GTI. Absolutely brilliant car, 220bhp and better in almost every way, but still miss it a lot... A5 is a definite upgrade! Remap time?

Nice one. I had an '11 Fabia vRS. Cool car but many problems, mostly regarding high oil consumption.

I have one of these, actually it's a break from 2003 with 1.9 TDI 101 HP, at this moment she has 380,000 Km and it's still running perfectly fine, mechanical taking this engine it's a real tank.

Those PD130 usually make more power than described. Something is broken. It should make 170 mapped. First hand experience from an A3 8L.

I have to be honest. These shitty old fabias are all over the place here in Slovakia (base models not VRS). And I can't stand even looking at this ugly car anymore. But good for you.

Can we stop buying cars for cheap and actually finish the ones you already have? And I mean "finish" because we don't even known the purpose of some projects, just at least give them and ending story, and say I've got tired of it, it sucked, I've sold it, It blows my mind how most of the YT car community only does this for the clicks and every single new video is the same. I mean don't get me wrong here, I still enjoy them, that's why I'm here in the first place, but I feel I'm losing my mind stuck on a loop. 1. Find cheap car 2. I bought a "ABC" for 123! 3. Make video how shit it is and promise it will be good and wait for it. 4. Do a follow up in the next few weeks (Good!) 5. Don't do shit for months and don't give any updates, maybe a just hint about what's coming, don't do anything or show anything with it anymore for months and months to come. 6. Repeat from step 1. It's been 4 months without a video of Fabricio for example, we don't even know from this channel alone what is becoming of this. Anyway I've still like the channel, but every time I see a thumbnail and I see $500!, $1000 it's like oh boy, here we go again.

Had mine from new (2004). Currently on 173k miles. Use to be my daily but now it’s a toy I use for Autosolo’s. Try not to ruin this one. Plenty of chav’d ones out there getting crashed.

I had a 130 pd in my golf, got it mapped to 160, run it 200,000 miles on stock internals an turbo, although i put in a uprated intercooler, engine never failed, although V.N.T on turbo can stick, best car ever.

Just watch as prices shoot up. The vRS really is one of a kind because there’s no such thing as a diesel hot hatch any more… shame really

I had a 53 plate back in 2011, without a map it put out 145.9bhp. I'd be checking to see if its losing boost or something.
