Cool truck and great 👍 show ! I own a 2016 F150 with the same 5.0 V8 coyote motor, my 2016 F150 has been pretty reliable so far and I owned a 2012 F150 with the 3.7 V6 which also was very reliable .

That sounds like a really nice deal! The newer trucks do seem to have way better looking wheel options. I might start browsing around on marketplace a bit.

I’m hanks man! I had a lot of messages on the van over the last month, but someone is finally taking it home Saturday morning. They left a deposit last Sunday.

Rob, Congrats on the new truck man! The trucks didn't come with coil covers or an engine cover for some reason. You definitely can't go wrong with a Coyote and I love the color!

Thanks man!! And I was kinda thinking they didn’t but I wasn’t sure. I only see them on marketplace posts for swaps, and figured they always just took the covers off. Lol.

Sounds like a lot of gas money. I still need to do the math on storage fees for the exhaust, so that might balance out the gas and tolls. I guess we’re overdue for a hang out sesh though.

I feel like this entire video is an attack on me. 7.3 shade, truck shade, loud exhaust on a truck shade. lol Also, some of them came with an e-locker for the rear.. try pulling the 4 wheel drive shifter knob out towards you. Probably not if it's not an fx4, but maybe could've been ordered with it
@RobRabonPhotog

😂 my bad. Didn’t mean that. I’m just really bitter about losing money and time on the 7.3 in the van. And the truck shade was towards the squatted trucks that have popped up in the area recently, and also the big black ford with green underglow and a system that keeps bumping the same song nonstop every time I see it. And also the obs Chevy that’s done some pulls down the street that sounds like it’s just open exhaust from a scrapped cat. Lol. And I remember hearing about the e locker, but wasn’t sure if it was only on the newer ones. I had a coworker with a 2015 (I think) ecoboost that had one. I’ll look more into it.

@@RobRabonPhotog Is it the superduty with the cap and a bunch of subwoofers in the bed? That thing is hideous lol Guess you never figured out what was wrong with the van?? F150 with a yote should be pretty reliable, other Rob beats the fuck out of his and hasn't had any trouble besides the rear axle a couple times.. but we overload it and tow stuff way too fast down the highway all the time and he has 37s on it.

Pretty sure we’re talking about the same one. I haven’t seen it in a little bit though. And nah. Never figured out the issue. I don’t even want to do the math on the time and parts wasted. And I forgot he had a yote truck too. Sounds like it’s been pretty good to him. My old coworker had a issue with his rear too. He had his ecoboost tuned pretty aggressive and it broke the rear pretty bad from what he told me. I’ll keep the burnouts to a minimum for a while.

Nice F150. Give the chrome some time to grow on you, I ended up really liking the chrome on mine. Plus, it annoys people. I picked up a broken down $6.5k (ticking) 09 xlt 4x4 flex fuel version with the 5.4 3v and 6 speed about 2 years ago, it's been a rock solid reliable truck. Looks brand new inside and out. Did a timing system update with Motorcraft parts + a M360 oil pump. The 09 5.4 is rated 320hp and 390tq using e85. It really woke up after the timing overhaul. The flex fuel 5.4 is a excellent truck motor, makes big lazy power down low right off idle. I sold my new soft body 19 fx4 3.5 last fall because I liked my 09 better. We both have some of the last good f150s in my opinion. I recommend removing the bed, clean in top to bottom, clean the frame, treat any rust, rinse out the frame rails. It's crazy how much dirt, mud, salt and sand get packed inside these things. Replace the transmission bulkhead connector as PM. Check to make sure the proper bulbs are installed in the correct sockets, I bet thats why the flasher is off pace.

That sounds like a pretty good deal even with the issue. The 5.4 is definitely a great motor with a little love. The chrome has actually grown on me a bit already. Kinda reminds me of old school stuff, with a modern look. The truck overall is pretty clean but it would be nice to go through it at some point. Salt in Maryland is a killer for this gen (and especially late model dodges) and looks like the truck was in PA and MD it’s whole life. Might slap some Por15 on the bottom of it when I get some time, for more protection.
