As someone who has crawfish boils all summer, there's 2 things you're missing. A bottle of hot sauce dumped right in the water and letting your crawfish sit in the water after they're cooked. Let them boil about 2 mins and take the pot off the burner. They're gonna continue to cook, when they're red and floating on top, you want to cool that pot off as quickly as possible with a water hose. As they cool and sink to the bottom, they're gonna develop more flavor. If they haven't sank to the bottom, they're not gonna have much flavor at all.

Pro tip double the seasoning, rinse them in a cooler garden hose and a lot of salt to purge them, cut some lemons in half also use lemon extract, also add a little crab boil. Use the giant clear jars of seasoning extra hot. Let them sit for 15-20 min after they are done to soak up the seasoning. Your literally gonna use 1.5 to 2 full 63 oz Zattarans jars get extra hot powder not liquid.

born and raised in louisiana and been doing boils for a long time. keys to a good boil are zatarains liquid, louisana shrimp and crab boil powder, onions, mushrooms, garlic, corn, red potatoes, and lemon juice. once the waters boiling add crawfish. let go until it comes back to a boil then cut the heat off and let soak. they don’t take long at all to cook because there is not very much meat being cooked. Also you should come down to Louisiana!

@FLAIR I have no idea if you will see this but... For crawfish boils: NOTE THIS IS FOR EACH BATCH OF CRAWFISH 1x 25 LB bag - 40 LB bag of crawfish (giving lbs as a comparison to scale for veggies) 1x 26oz REG SALT per bag of crawfish(25lb-40lb bags) 26oz salt for purging (IF YOU DO NOT SALT the crawfish they will taste like pondwater/not very good) 2x salt if you plan on purging the bag twice! 1x 4oz Louisiana cayenne pepper seasoning for spice 1x or 2x Louisiana Liquid crab boil 2 if you plan on doing more than 1 batch of crawfish, as in more than 1 bag. 2x 3oz bags of Louisiana crawfish, shrimp and crab seed boil 3x or 4x smoked sausage's we prefer andouille here. 1x 1 LB lemons sliced in half and squeezed into pot 1x 2 LBs yellow onions sliced in half or quartered, we prefer to quarter them here 1x 4 LBs of new potatoes(baby red potatoes) 1x container of Mushrooms (if you care for them) 12x Cauliflower wrapped in foil (most people normally do a dozen around here, can do less or more depending on amount of crawfish) 2x packages of 8 frozen yellow corn 5x garlic pods 1x Package of shrimp(SHRIMP GOES IN LAST, AFTER CRAWFISH HAVE STARTED BOILING AGAIN). PURGING CRAWFISH: Take 1 Large(120 quart) ice chest Release crawfish into ice chest Add water to ice chest until there's about 5 inches of water over the top of the crawfish Purge(rinse basically) the water out until it appears clean Refill ice chest with water until there's about 5 inches of water over the top of the crawfish Salt water with crawfish in it with 1x 26oz REG salt container Let crawfish sit in water for at least 30 minutes(we let them sit for an hour) Rinse crawfish :) Method of cooking: In an 80oz pot, fill half way Add seasonings: 4oz cayenne pepper, 1x or 2x Louisiana liquid crab boil, 2x 3oz bags of Louisiana crawfish/shrimp/crab seed boil, Bring water with seasonings to a boil Add live crawfish, onions, garlic, lemons, corn, Andouille sausage's, potatoes, cauliflower and whatever else you want(BESIDES SHRIMP) to your boil basket(boil basket should already be inside the 80oz pot). *OR YOU COULD ADD THE STUFF INTO THE BASKET THEN PUT IT INTO THE POT.* Some people feel safer that way. Turn your burner to high and return to a boil. AFTER IT RETURNS TO A BOIL, YOU CAN ADD IN SHRIMP. BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES AFTER WATER RESUMES BOILING. Turn off burner. Add 1x 5LB bag of ice to pot to cool off crawfish, veggies etc. Let set for 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Spread out on table and enjoy!

That seasoning needs to boil for 10-15 minute before any food. If you remove some liquid you shouldn’t be able to see through the liquid. Potatoes/corn 10 minute. Then sausage 2 minutes. Lower heat to low boil(simmer). Then seafood. If frozen can add with sausage. 2 minutes. Then heat off and into an ice bath. Let sit 5-10 minutes minutes then remove. Also on purge I like to have still water to monitor the clarity of water. Usually takes 30-40 minutes. 10 minute purges. Can do longer if you want.

You got ripped off you need to order 25lb. Of crawfish to make a meal on and all of those you got were way to small. You need to order your crawfish from Stale Cracker or any other Louisiana crawfish dealer. 25lb. Crawfish recipe of south Alabama Start with making your boil old bay crab boil 2 jugs the add either a whole 12 oz. Of cayenne pepper puree or a whole box of ground cayenne pepper add 4 bay leaves and whole container of lawry's dried basil and lawry's garlic salt. Then cut and squeeze your lemons 3 lbs. And 3 lbs. Of oranges in to your boil. Start by tossing on your potatoes allow them to come to a full rolling boil let ride for 20min then add your crawfish. Fallow your crawfish with a jar of green olives then add 2 whole cloves of garlic and 3 onions. Let them ride on rolling boil for 15min. Then add your corn, mushrooms, and your boudan or aundoui sausages and shrimp in for an additional 10 mins. If you do this you'll have a 10 out of 10 time and taste of your crawfish

Andewwyy 🤣🤣 They have crawfish companies in Louisiana that will ship them to your door for a much better price and quality. They also sell crawfish kits so you don’t have to go buy the seasoning. I get them here in Missouri and it never disappoints 🔥

This absolutely hurt my heart watching y’all boil, I get it y’all not from the south, but me as a Louisiana man born and raised, this was by far the worst boil I have ever seen lol.. next time get you some zatarans crawfish boil seasoning off Amazon in a powder form.. also if u let the crawfish soak for at least 25 minutes that nasty taste would of went away! Whenever u ready you’re welcome to come to Louisiana and be a guest at my house and I’ll show u how it’s done! Great video man!!

Long time subscriber here, wanted to say one thing you are missing is connecuh sausage. It’ll change your life. My dad is the c.o.o of Pradco which owns moltree, the company that does the online wireless cameras. I would love to send you some conecuh sausage from down here in Alabama if you accept packages?
