The pattern comes with symbols to guide you through the sewing process but not the written step by step instructions that you’re used to commercial patterns coming with. Some knowledge of garment construction is good to have .

It kind of does as it tells what what parts to sew together if you look on the pattern

You’re right! Thanks for pointing that out. There are symbols to guide you through the sewing process. To clarify, if someone looking for step by step written instructions, that most commercial patterns come with. I’ll edit my pinned comment to make that more clear. Thank you

I remember 25 cent patterns! In the seventies I took a pattern making course in college and the instructor said she could draft a pattern for any style-but didn’t, because patterns were so cheap. Things have changed.

I purchased a new system last year, and I enjoy using it. Very straight forward. I need to set aside more time to using it more. It's a great tool for creating a base pattern and then creating your version. Good purchase!

As long as you have some knowledge of garment construction, you should be good! But cool system

@@Sashasewing thanks! I am 73 and learned how to use a sewing machine when I was 7. I think 64 years probably qualifies!😂😂😂

I'm excited to see how this works for you! Honestly, I've been alternately curious and trepidatious about this system because I've primarily seen it work best for women who are B/C cups and smaller and who aren't very curvy. Colour me intrigued!

the first time i got introduced to this system was actually last year. a representative of lutterloh came to a popular fabric store in my country to basically guide us through and tbh it did look like a good investment. i hope i can actually buy the set soon

It's wild to me that you have supplements over 250, cause I have a supplement no. 7 :D Yes, single digit :D from 1940, this system has been on the market for so long. Other than that supplement I also have one book from the 1930s and one from 1940s. I need to finally try and make something out of them. :) If you're curious how they look, I have two videos with a flipthrough of both. :)
