It has Amsoil racing oil in it. It gaulded the number 3 cam bearing and broke the alignment tab on the VVT. We think it had a cam bearing issue before doing the cam swap. There’s a video coming out soon on what all transpired and how we are going to fix it.

Racing oils are usually 20w50 or thicker for new engines its not a good idea it’s better to use correct oil/weight such as 5w30 full synthetic and change it sooner

@@goatandyourmom9690especially when you are dealing with vvt solenoids. They literally depend on the correct weight oil to get accurate readings if I’m not mistaken.

See my man this is why I won't buy anything Ford. They're trying to get too fancy with overhead cams and all that. It's just way more difficult to do work on and more things to have go wrong. Gimme some GM pushrod motors or even Mopar.

@@BryanSBL well that's what I get for thinking someone in another comment knew what they were talking about. I learned to stay away from Ford with my 6.0 Powerstroke after also having the 5.4 Triton. Both had serious design flaws and were both trash.

The Godzilla 7.3 is an in block cam /pushrod motor, ford decided it was best to go back to this design platform for dependability. It's not Ford, it's something went wrong with the build. Sounded like a hydro lock.
