I am glad Sandy Crest requires patients to sanitize and wear a mask. Usually, when I go to medical facilities here in the U.S., neither the doctors, nurses, medical assistants, nor patients wear masks. During a recent visit to a doctor’s office, the medical assistant was sniffling and wasn’t wearing a mask. Fortunately, I was wearing one. I am glad there are options like Sandy Crest for people like me who don’t relish the thought of spending time in the QEH or polyclinics. I hope your toes heal properly and soon.

I agree and appreciate the extra precautions that are taken here. I would highly recommend Sandy Crest should you find yourself in need of urgent or even preventative care.

Hi Lisa, sorry to hear of your broken toe. Glad that you've had the necessary medical attention to be on your way to recovery. Hoping the toe stays out of harm's way also but it's almost like the objects become attracted to just that one toe😢. Agreeing that Sandy Crest gives great service without breaking the bank 👍🏾.

Speedy recovery to you Lisa, that splint situation must be annoying. I thought I was going to have sticker shock but the price for everything and the wait seemed quite reasonable. What a difference from QEH; I was there in '22 from approx 3pm till just about 1am all from falling backwards in a moving ZR! Warning to any and all, if you ever have to go there, bring a full length winter coat and blanket!

Ohh my! Falling backwards in a moving ZR sounds horrendous. We have been to Sandy Crest on a number of occasions and each time has been very reasonable and overall a good experience.

Hi! Three weeks ago I broke the same toe (the 4th one) on my left foot. Unfortunately, my break was very bad... basically I suffered an open fracture and the bone that is connected to the foot bone is in pieces. Part of the bone even broke through the side of my toe. With that laceration and another on top of my toe, I ended up having 7 stitches in it. But the reason I'm commenting is because I just was wondering how your toe has healed? My laceration still hasn't fully healed but is close to healing. My swelling is down for the most part but there is still some discoloration. My main complaint is at the base of my toe between the joints. It is so tender and hard as a rock when I touch it. Did you have that sensation? My toe is so messed up I still have to go to the doctor in a week to see how it is healing. That, counting the ER visit will be my 4th time seeing a doctor in a month. Well, hope you can help me a bit and I hope you are better. Sorry for the long comment too.

Oh my goodness, so sorry to hear! Your break sounds much more painful than mine has been. My toes have seemed to heal quite well on their own. I was careful to keep them buddy taped together initially to avoid too much movement but was able to put a shoe on my injured foot this past week with just slight discomfort. I still have some tenderness but overall things seem to be healing fairly well. Sending you healing vibes and hope things improve quickly for you.

@@theflipthescriptfamily Thank you so much. I'm so glad you're doing better. I'm just really concerned about my injury. I go see the podiatrist/surgeon on Monday. I just don't want to be in as much discomfort as I have been. I know my fracture is very bad... when first seeing my x-ray, the podiatrist thought he would have to amputate. I'm just praying that possibility is gone. Thanks so much for the reply!

Hello Lisa .... I'm impressed with the exterior and interior of this clinic , and yes I think the cost for your examination is very reasonable . If I should ever have medical problems on any visit back home that's where I would want to go . I hope your toe gets better soon . Hello to the rest of the FTS FAMILY .Have a great day .

Thank you!! Hopefully you won't need to visit the clinic on any trips home, however, rest assured you would be in good hands if you did. :)

Okay. I think it is time to keep Lisa in a bubble . I am glad you are having a good recovery but you need a pause from doctors. Notice I didn't say you needed a 'break ' from doctors. 😊
