Great video Hendo, just a thought, try the all rounder stand upside down and i reckon the space between the bottom and the wort whipper will nearly be perfect mate.

Great video series! Im only a homebrewer though so autoclaves are out of my budget! But to add an observation about craft brewers and yeast that i experiencd recently. I was at one of the largest craft breweries a few days ago on a brewery tour and lucky me had one of the brewers all to myself. Anyway long story short, I found out they only use 3 yeasts for all their beers, and it was all dry yeast that they grow up in a propogater and use for several generations before dumping and starting again. I was surprised as I thought they'd have a small yeast lab and propogate a "house" strain, but no! And as a homebrewer I'm keeping a mini yeast bank in a fridge in my shed! Haha, it was actually quite refreshing to know that such great beer from a major craft brewer was being made with a fairly simple fermentation process! That being said they still used a nice stainless steel propogation tank and didn't just chuck it in dry. I am alos inspired now thinking about how I can use your method to possibly create a yeast starter inside of my PET fermenter prior to pitching my wort instead of using a flask etc. It would certainly make it simpler and potentially safer from infection not dealing with a second dry vessel etc

Have you had any issues with contamination using a plastic fermenter for starters? And how much initial yeast would you pitch for, say, a 4 bbl batch. Cheers, friend!
