The roof is my favorite part. I love the whole quirky esthetic vibe! Great job!!!

Oh thank you! You are your own worst critic of course! I just knew I could make something a little more cohesive but I was stubborn about using those construction things. BUT I learned a lot using those too to get the angles right and that's what counts!

What you have right there is the pure whimsy of having fun. Cool stuff! I'm working on my first MOC too. It's harder to do than I expected.

Thank you so much!! It is definitely challenging! I felt like this was such a great little place to start since I put myself in a creative box with just using one color!

I think it's brick-tastic awesomeness. You gave me an idea to use yellow arch from pirates and a yellow feather from castle to make a uni kitty to chill in the garden. I've always liked uni kitties backstory.

Heck yeah! This is what it's all about! Sharing those creative ideas with others to help spark builds! Thanks Chris!

This is really neat, obviously these take a really long time but I'd love to see a style of video where you document the idea, little chats through the build process about your thought process and challenges you're trying to solve for and then the finished product! Keep it up, I love this!!!

100% I want to record more of the process for build videos. This was totally a test not only in making this kind of video and that process but also as a build itself. It allowed me to experiment with the ease of finding parts in my new organization system and just totally play with parts to make something experimental to learn and strengthen building techniques. Thanks for watching buddy!

Wow, so impressed. It is so cute and quirky. Loved the used of the non-building parts in the construction like the mug on one of the walls

YES! So it's not exactly what I did here, but in Lego building we use the acronym NPU (nice parts usage). It's when you use a Lego element to make something different than what it's purpose was created for! Lego does this ALOT in their botanical line for example using minifigure pirate hats re-colored in purple/pink to make flowers in their Wildflower Bouquet set!

I love your build. The parts usage is really great. The couple of black pieces used don’t have any negative effect on the yellow of your build. You could do some more builds like this using other colours and place them in a line.

Thank you so much Jude! I appreciate that! This was 100% an experimental build to get my hands moving on building something and working through the process of finding parts in my new space and just allowing myself to be silly with parts. That being said, it would be fun to make perhaps smaller little vignettes in different colors similar to this. Thanks for watching!

I still haven't got to the point of building my own MOC, looks like you've started to get your filming/ building process started hard bit is over , you've bit the bullet an started. More good things to come without any doubts. also don't forget to show us some fails if they happen- they can be just as inspiring and fun to watch. :)

Thank you so much Jojo! I so much love the challenge of it! It would be super interesting to see the 1:1 version with realiistic color choices for all the parts. That sounds like a lot of work! This was such a nice little jumpstart to get the creative juices flowing!

Curious - what made you choose Yellow? Really interesting build, loved the rotation effect and the light glinting as it turns. Your excitement is contagious and your nervousness is super relatable and (imo) inspires bravery. Good vod. 5/5✨

lol nope! Dont really have much yellow plate turns out. I have one 16x16 bright yellow plate I could have built on but I thought it would look weird with the slightly different shade of yellow. So I just went green!
