the gyro connects to the receiver. you change it on the remote. channel 3 or 4. keep the extra wire disconnected then you change it on the device itself. also get plastic tires. ds racing lf-5 i recommend. or yokomo drc tires. super cool vid!

Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while - when I ran nitro touring 1/10ths in 2003-4, Team Yokomo was the S. Like Serpent and Goblin, usually at a cost tier I found myself avoiding. How do Yokomo kits compare, price-wise, these days? Thanks for putting another epic video together, this one was a very chill way to start my day.
@BeefQueef101

Yokomo are on the higher end cost-wise but its worth it for the quality imo. I have all their racing buggies and a touring car and they're brilliant

I can’t wait for it to arrive. Just out of curiosity when you did your MT10 bashing video was yours stock? Or did you do a few upgrades? Either way it looked awesome. I hope I can bash as good as you can some day lol. Especially when your usually doing it one handed.... keep up the good work. Your legitimate honest and awesome. I have a Yokomo YD2-E version and from what I know from the difference of both of them. The E version is more basic version and uses the old long pack lipo battery use. The S version you have has two different motor mounting options where you can have the motor inside down or have the motor sit up on top and it also uses shorty lipo battery packs only if I do remember. Lots of people prefer more of the S version than the E, but I love the E version since it’s towards to more of learning the experience of 2WD Drifting.

If you want to drift id highly recommend buying yourself a wpl d12 and just build yourself a budget drifter as these are being more and more widely accepted at most local tracks provided you adhere to the club rules - running club tyres (mst sliver dot) and converted to cheap brushless system with a gyro 😊 I don't say these things to be horrible as like I said before if you have the money and option to buy one of these then by all means go crazy but id just really really recommend looking into the wpl d12 (you will save massive amount of money in the long run and still be able to grab on of these in the future when pricing comes down Look into this option before investing into yokomo or sakura and like
@TomleyRC
3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure a D12 is in the same category as a proper drift chassis. Although you can adjust the camber, toe & caster... I’m not sure it’s as good. Bit tons of fun all the same
@maxbuckley9762
3 жыл бұрын
@@TomleyRC yeah I've seen people converting the d12 chassis to run on main line tracks .. all it takes it a brushless motor conversion - decent gyro unit ( onisiki / yeah racing ) and some 1/10th 12mm hex wheels with some mst silver dot or which ever tyres the local club are running .. you can opt to use after making transmitters too or convert the stock control 😊 most clubs these days are accepting the d12 onto the tracks as long as you adhere to the rules and such

There are 2, the YD 2E and YD 2S(yours) the main difference is the application: The E is for normal to high traction applications, while the S is for maximum angle. Basically, you want to go faster around a track, you get the E, you want to hold max angle, you get the S

They are making these rwd drift cars in 1/24 scale now. They are a blast. You can’t drift a rwd without the gyro. What you said it’s not supposed to be doing is exactly what it’s supposed to be doing. The gyro that comes with this kit is an awesome gyro. This is terrible info for anyone new. The gyro is necessary. Why wouldn’t you just try it with the gyro before removing it. 🤦♂️. The sensitivity is working fine it’s not noticeable from turning the screw all the way off. It’s still gonna counter steer

There’s nothing wrong with the Gyro it’s your servo. put in a programmable one I would use a yokomo to match the Gyro. then plug the Gyro into the third channel so you can adjust the gain from the remote by the way four-wheel-drive cars are not drift cars. It’s a sport touring car with drift tires they power slide they don’t drift.
