Thank you Marlin! Yes it seems so... although I find that for very small amounts if you make the connection quickly it doesn't matter. Beautiful work, and dang that's big! The expanding foam for the hill was genius, and the statues are dead ringers for the greybeard statues in Sovngarde - maybe Shor's hall for a future project? ;) I also like the way you aged the place with vegetation. Couple of ideas which might come in handy. Polyfiller isn't exactly an adhesive but it grabs things fairly well when it's wet, so if you drop sand, sawdust or chunks of bark on it it will stick them in place; that saves you some time as you can usually avoid having to go over everything with glue once the filler dries. Sand and sawdust also help it dry faster, and of course if you have time you can always go over that and give yourself more texture. Second idea I got watching you carve the steps was that it would probably have been much faster - definitely not prettier - to cut the tiers out of foamboard and lay them on top of each other, as well as cutting slots for the walls in them rather than cutting space for the steps into the walls. You don't get the nice uneven stones for free, but it would be easy to shape them this way - actually I'm sure your guest on this weekend's livestream will show you :)

As a recently renewed MESB fan, having grown up with the Battle Games in Middle Earth magazine, and also an Irish miniature enthusiast. This channel is a revelation to me, I am so happy to see someone with a passion for both Tolkien's work, and the miniature hobby, put out such excellent work. This channel has given me so much inspiration. I will strive to recreate this to my best abilities, but the groove in which you have placed Amon Sûl, is also prime for other modular pieces that can be placed on it. I can already see the campsite from Fellowship where the Crebain flew overhead, fit in nicely into the little niche. Which could be used for the Warg attack from the Books and the new Quest of the Ringbearer manual. Thank you again for your tremendous work. Kind Regards Tommy
