I don't know how one accent is more 'civilized' than another, but I don't really appreciate how you generalize southern people as being backwards and against advancement. Just because someone is more comfortable with someone who speaks like them does not mean they view others as lower than them or in a negative light. This is a very ignorant take to have on Southern people as a whole. People generalizing others from the South OR North is only helping widen the divide between us. I used to live in Alabama while working for a company near Detroit. Whenever someone in Michigan found out where I was from, it never failed that they would tell me they had family in Alabama. Back in the 40s and 50s there was no work in the South, so people would go from Alabama to Detroit or Cleveland to work in the auto industry, or in war production. Inevitably some would stay and some would go back home. Those two places are very much linked.

I had this problem once at a "tap house" in Boise, my buddy didn't tell me it was a craft beer place, and needless to say I'd rather drink a hot cowboy beer in July than drink craft beer. For yall wonderin what a cowboy beer is, its any busch, natty, bud, coors, or keystone but they've been rollin around in the truck so long they ain't got no paint left on em so you don't know what you're drinkin...and they're always hot.

Lmao ! Cowboy beer!! Damn I musta had some Ole 30 case with about 11 left in the back of my old Chevy when I was around 19 allllll summer long in the hot Oklahoma heat ! Remember giving them off to an ole boy at work and you couldn’t tell if it was a bud light or a keystone anymore, probably skunked out and tore up his guts but a hot cowboy beer beats a cold Pepsi when it’s free!

@@mattcorregan4760 to a lot of people including myself it tastes terrible lol. Prolly an acquired taste tho but I prefer drinkin light beers
@mattcorregan4760

@@philmybutup4759 It depends on the beer style. If you like Bud, Busch, Coors, Corona, etc., those are all light lagers. If you go to a brewery, ask for a lager if they have it on their menu. It may be a bit stronger but it should have a flavor similar to what you are used to. If they don't have a lager ask for their lightest and least hoppy ale. Definitely don't ask for an IPA (India Pale Ale), they're too hoppy. Anyway, there's lots of different styles of beer and they all taste different, most breweries will let you sample so you can see if you like it before you buy a pint.
