Virginie has really the ability to turn anything she designs into the most pedestrian, basic, bland and anonymous stuff ever. That's her gift...one would think she could be able to design something special having worked with Karl for over 30 years...well I guess not. The PreFall 2019 enamel scarab brooches by Karl look like Bvlgari Haute Jewelry compared to what you're showing here.

Virginie did not design these pins. I explain it clearly in my video but maybe you missed it. These pins are art works by Xavier Veilhan. He drew them for Chanel, inspired by Coco herself. Chanel produced them with Goossens. Virginie had nothin to do with this design. I personally love them. They are super clever, multifaceted and have deeper meaning. If you cannot see it, thats ok too but the depth is still there even if you do not see it. As for the aesthetic, we all like different things. De gustibus non es disputandum.

@@SuperDacob Personally I don't like this artist, I feel like I've seen too much like it. However, I do suggest looking up Alex Monroe, I saw he once made in the past a beetle necklace pendant that looks like a silver version of your earrings. The Dor Beetle.

Anything that connects to ancient Egypt and their mythology can be scary but it is only scary because we know so little about it. It is scary because it is different. But we need to start embracing the different and realize it is not that scary after all. 💖💖💖🌅

Love it! Have you ever made a series of educational vids abt coco? I think you would do an amazingly awesome job making interesting & informational vids abt her, her life, myths/misunderstandings, contributions and impact on fashion industry, most notable characteristics of her personal style and those of clothes she designed, as well as those of the designers/brand after she left… Would love to know more about the background, inspiration, & context of these characteristics/elements mentioned previously; including insight into her personality, personal life, & approach/theory re: fashion and an exploration or explanation of her contribution to fashion & culture… & the brand’s impact on them, as well. Additionally, I’d love to know more about the fashion house’s recurring symbols, design pieces, fashion elements/characteristics, & story behind their origination/inspiration, as well as the story of the brand’s evolution and most notable personalities, and your thoughts abt why/how they’ve maintained such an esteemed and respected position within the world of fashion & culture… particularly since few of us know much abt coco (but should), and what info is out there is largely incorrect or improperly prejudiced against her. In essence- what are the most important and recognizable symbols of Chanel, where did they come from, what inspired them, how did the fashion brand become so successful (&why), and what did Karl do to save/make the fashion house what it is today? And what elements remain from coco’s original vision? How have women’s fashion needs/expectations changed since women in coco’s era? And why is she considered so iconic? I know some of these things but not all, and not all of the history or background behind them. What do young kids of today need to know abt coco and her contribution to fashion, and why she broke the mold of female expectations? Would love to see some recurring segments (or like mini presentations), maybe even a series of shorts that delve into her life and the story of her brand and how they’ve carried on her legacy… rather, what her legacy is in society, and why is she still remembered as one of the worlds most classy and iconic woman, still today? I’m not sure I can answer much of that! It’s just an idea💡… esp. bc you know so much and have great insight into her life/legacy❤️ Have you also thought of making some shorts &/or short vids highlighting import eras in fashion, the history or evolution of houses/brands, as well as that of famous designers- while showcasing notable styles/designs, pieces, looks, etc… ?!? Even if you’re not the first, I think your POV & insight is unique & needed! We’d all watch!
