hey Jordan, according to the British highway code if you are walking on the road in a convey of more than one person you should have a white light at the front, a red light at the rear, and should move with the flow of traffic, but mostly we just walk on whichever side suits us best because that one in Scotland was just a small farming/residential road with - I assume - very little traffic

As far as I know, the reason everything in the motorcycle shop is in English is because India has 22 national languages, none of which are really spoken by 100% of the population. English is sort of used as a lingua franca because, in a business context, it's a fairly safe bet that whoever you're talking to knows more English than they do of whichever of the 22 languages you grew up speaking. I'm not Indian, so this might not be 100% accurate, but I thought it was an interesting bit of trivia.

"Why are you here Google driver?" lol. The question you could ask so many times. But, what did it matter when you see images with no real information beyond the landscape, twice, and, the guess is on the money. Well, until South Africa, the Waterloo of Geoguessr. Fun rounds though. Round 1: Brazil: I've learned, thought it was Brazil right away this time. I went a little closer to the coast, middle Minas Gerais near Belo Horizonte. I was figuring that the Google driver wouldn't travel along that rough a road unless it was somewhat close to a more highly populated area. I almost went in between Rio and Sao Paulo. Looked like it had to be a touristy area, as Jordan said. Not a bad guess by him at all. Finland: On a roll. Woo. Finland was my first thought. We've had an image very similar to this landscape before. Something about the place is distinctive, maybe all the forest. The lines looked like they were just running just in front of those turn outs. I've been very wrong before, but, with Sweden I thought they ran generally along the entire roadway. That's why I counted it out. France: Again, wow, what a guess by Jordan. Big time high five. He knows France. He's done that several times. As for me, I counted out Russia and Scandinavia. But, with road like it was, and the bare trees, I took a stab with southern Poland, Krakow area. Though thinking about it, I don't know if we've ever gotten Poland. Turkey: Ah well. We have been in Slovakia before, it is more green and Eastern Europe-y. He had an inkling. Hindsight, you know. I did go with Turkey. I was thinking maybe Greece, until he showed off the signs. Greek is very distinctive and angular. Hmm, I keep writing Roman, instead of Latin for some reason. Anyway, I was thinking it was near Istanbul (as he said he would have) with all the trucks, as if they might be doing the crossing from Europe to Asia, plus, it's near heavily populated area of the country. Didn't know they went so far south with the images. France: Again. Really? lol. Impressed. Me, not so good on the other hand. The English on the sign threw me, and I couldn't quite remember which side of the road they drive on in this country, but went with it anyway. So I took another risky stab with Ireland. So wrong. But... I did alright, got a couple of good ones with Brazil and Finland. A fair one with Turkey. The other two weren't so bad that I was embarrassed. My total probably ended up close to where Jordan was. My misses added up to the Turkey one I think. He did amazing with France. Brazil and Finland weren't too bad at all. Very fun. Best I've felt in a while. Round 2, Everything goes wrong and that's okay: Russia: And there goes that feeling...miss. I just couldn't figure it out, that bridge just seemed odd. It wasn't all that Russia-y looking to me. It was so bare. Not that bad by Jordan. It was in the ballpark. I'm not sure if the Czech Republic feels that open. Scotland: Nice reasoning it out to the UK. I went more mainland Europe. Not a total miss, but, not that bad. South Africa. What!...hmm...What! Foul, I cry foul. That is really funny. I was perfectly fine with a New Mexico guess as well. Maybe Arizona. It was an oddly nice but narrow road, and the landscape was more full of grasses than you might expect. You'd just explain it away as seasonal. I guess it is something to consider. What speed do those vehicles have to go, to take their pictures? You just don't think about the idea of them being passed. It says a lot about how we have to use the most minute clues to reason these guesses out. India: Yeah, no way for me to guess that one. Lucky he had people tweet that at him. Otherwise, even if you caught that glimpse of a palm tree in the background, it's one of the most tricky images we've seen. His idea of Malaysia wouldn't have been a bad one otherwise. Former English colony in the tropics, with lots of money around. Mexico: I fell into the Brazil/Mexico trap. sigh. I liked that hail mary Hawaii guess. Nothing to lose. They do grow bananas in Hawaii, a much wider variety. You can't get most of them on the mainland. Crazy round, total throwaway. Still it was actually a really funny one to go through once you know that. What can you do when it all goes south. I mean, it had two of the most impossible images to ever come up. Even without those, I was being blown out of the water from the get go. At least the first round was okay. It does make you very hungry to try again for redemption. This is when the game really gets you going.
