As a non developer, being able to prototype and visually ground the idea to my own liking and offer that to developers to complete is a huge game changer. It enables me to go from idea guy to project manager and SaaS entrepreneur in days...

Disagree with this thread. Riley's execution trumps lack of being a prior dev. Huge fan. Look forward to more similar videos!

I’m a developer and that’s not the way you go productive. If you want to burn money on the cloud follow the AI if you want to save money learn to code and come back with the help of AI. AI is not capable to code for you it can guide you through the coding process.

I tried, got the 9 usd subscription, but I can tell after one day working with the tool that this sucks, at least for now. I really wanted this to work, Im a IT Guy and I had been software developer some years ago so at least I know the basics but this didn't work for me, I tried two things, build a dynamic ecommerce app, and it just gave me a static website very basic, and also tried to build a iOS app never worked, never, tried and tried but never ran. I hope this gets better but if not I will not renew the next month

All of these are done through the lens of a developer though. Take the average 20 year old and ask them to use AI to create an app. They will fail. So given you are already a developer, than yes, AI can assist in learning new platforms.

I need Greg, Riley and Ansh to build me a language app. It's a niche idea. I just want 5% share. They could even buy me out in 5 years. Anyone think they'll be game.

Why can’t you make it? with AI
@c.athompson9280
19 сағат бұрын
@@rh7732 People like me who can't code can make a pretty good prototype with the new tech. But for the app to really function you have to know something about coding. My knowledge is below 0. Building language apps is difficult business. You can't fix what's wrong when you know nothing about how to make it right. I've watched all the videos with Riley. Things get bugs and give trouble. I don't know anything about that. I can build a prototype input APIs etc but beyond that I have nothing. So much easier for someone to handle it.
@c.athompson9280

@@rh7732 AI allows for a prototype which seriously breaks down barriers to entry. But for someone like me whose knowledge of coding is negative 0 I will not be able to fix the bugs. Language apps are a robust undertaking so the kinks and bugs are inevitable. I can't fix what I don't understand or worse I wouldn't even know what needs fixing.

The video discusses building iOS apps using AI tools like V0, Cursor AI, and Xcode. It covers rapid prototyping, the advantages of iOS development, and demonstrates creating a simple notes app and a landing page using these tools.

So Riley trying to make an even worse version of Obsidian or logseq or every other notes app-- with an even shittier SM aggregator? Very friggin' original, bro. At least Riley admits spending an unreal amount of hours stuck in an error loop. Guaranteed he's hitting up an actual dev too. If only those things didn't get edited out, you know make it seem a little more realistic and less like a grift.

Please stop...I am a developer and tried them all. Stop promoting AI tools like ChatGPT and Cursor as if they can build complex apps without coding skills. There are tons of videos pushing this idea, but the truth is, these tools can’t handle everything on their own! Relying solely on AI for application development can lead to subpar results since they lack the ability to manage complex requirements and ensure quality control. And they also often introduce many security flaws in your code, which you won't understand without having coding experience. You still need real coding know-how to make a solid application.

These AI tools are super handy as assistants and can definitely speed things up, but they’re nowhere near replacing devs. You still gotta know your stuff. They struggle with anything more than basic apps.
@0xb1sh0p8

@@kizito2030 Sure they can...as long as it's fairly simple. Once there's an error that AI can't figure out (which is often) and get's stuck in an error loop, somebody with no programming logic will be stuck.
