Mint guitars don't have a story. I have. really clean 67 Gibson SJ acoustic that has only a couple of issues. 1. refretted and Plek'd by Glaser Instruments in Nashville. 2. Has one small area that that the binding is deteriorating. 3. The finish is almost mint.....except for where my cat chewed on the corner of the headstock a little because she was mad at me for leaving her along and my guitar was propped on the couch for easy access. NOW, that guitar has real history. Also, I forgot, it has a couple of scratches on the left upper bout side because a well known seller and guitar store did a horrible packing job and the staples on the interior of the chipboard case scratched it. However, now it plays and sounds fantastic... and I don't have to worry that it has a little love and history. Austin/Trogly has VERY HIGH standards for those guitars he keeps for his collection.

But someone that represents them wanted it bad enough to act like Paul , but doesn’t really matter as long as you got what you wanted for it. They came back to America in October 2023 started the last leg of the tour in Cincinnati and it went on in America until December 2nd in New York with the last two shows being played at MSG. In reality , I don’t think it was Paul Stanley. But that’s just my opinion and thoughts on the matter. Crazier things have happened in life. It would be cool if there was verification that it was him , but money is what matters most , not who bought it. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️

my dream guitar is a theodore. I'll never be able to afford one though. At the moment the plan is to make one as a parts caster for a fraction of the price.

@@russellmartin4712 Is that so? That sucks. I have been thinking they are quite attractive, they come up on Craigslist once in a while. Is it a crappy floating trem?

I remember a guitar player interviewed in Guitarist magazine (UK) years ago, talking about how Strat`s looked ridiculous on him cos he was 5`2", I`ve never thought of a Strat as being a large guitar, but he played Jackson `Dinky`s` cos they suited his frame (if you like) better, those `shrunk` Fenders I`m sure would suit a player like that I suppose-or a lady!

I don't think a moderate amount of normal finish checking to a guitar that is 20-30 years old should hurt the value at all. I almost don't like guitars that are perfect....because you don't want to play them and use them. So... if a guitar is well kept, very minor wear it is great. If it has been played hard, but cared for with lots of patina.... it is great. Mint is not for me.
