Errol was a victim of his previous successes. He went in there defensively irresponsible and only had one plan - walk Terence down. When he couldn't walk down Terence he had no plan B - no adjustments and kept doing the same thing over and over. Spence prepared for a fight but didn't prepare for Terence - I blame Derrick for that. How does Terence land 60% of his power punches - even lesser opponents did better.

I told you Paulie. I've been saying that this is how it'll unfold for years, particularly because of the point you stated: He waited too long and allowed Bud to assimilate himself at welterweight for 7 fights, fighting all types of styles, length, strength, etc. It all led him to this point of knowing what to do to be able to secure this win. When he decided to fight Avenesyan, the #7 ranked Welterweight people laughed. He chose him particularly as a stylistic tuneup for what he thought he might see against Errol. It paid HUGE dividends and Errol's pride stating that HE didn't need a tuneup cost him. Once Bud showed early that the pressure wasn't going to be a bother and he was able to take his punch and land his own dynamic jab, he became a ticking time bomb, ready to go off on Spence at any moment. I believe we gotta give Bo-Mac, Red and the other gentlemen their due, FINALLY. They prepared Bud super well. I broke down this fight and constantly stated how foot speed, hand speed, his ability to set traps by feet and hand feints and underrated inside work would make this harder for the bigger, slower, plodding style of Spence. I was correct. What surprised me is he didn't even sniff orthodox and that told me he came in not playing any games and meant business and it was telling from the opening bell. The best of this generation and if I were Bud, retire on top, you have nothing left to prove. Play with your kids, keep your faculties in order🙏🏿

@adriancanestra6910
10 ай бұрын
Yes, I said this would happen. I've been saying this. As a fighter, how can you look at Errol and not see how basic he is? If you've seen one Errol fight, you've seen them all. If you have ever boxed, or watch the sport long enough, you can tell who is real, who is pretending. I never felt Errol belong on any p4p list and he showed everyone why. We all now know why Errol never wanted this fight and why Haymon never wanted this fight. When you match A level vs A level you get fights like Oscar vs Shane, Shane vs Cotto, Leonard v Tommy. You get things that are closer to 7 rounds to 5 or even 8 rounds to 4 with several swing rounds. When you match Elite A level fighters against guys that have no business being in the ring with them you get shit like Crawford vs Errol or Inoue vs Fulton. Do you see the pattern yet Paulie? This is the PBC experiment finally getting exposed. Started with the highly overrated, over protected Wilder. And I guarantee you if that over protected hype job Stank Davis fought Shakur, he ends up just like Errol. Beat to death, never winning one round. This is exactly why Davis never activated his WBA mandatory status against Loma, Teo, Kambosa or Haney. Can we just pull the plug on the PBC? This is not the sport where fighters can take 14-18 months off between fights and think they can be great. Anyone seen Frank Sanchez? What ever happened to Queef Thurman? The PBC froze Crawford out, stalled out this mans career. And Haymon just did it again. He knew what was going tp happen to Errol, didn't want the same thing to happen to Jermel Charlo so he sent him North to keep Crawford from becoming a 3x Undisputed Unified and 4x Lineal... You tell me, in doing shit like this, keep a generational fighter like Crawford down, is that whats best for boxing?
