I tried to capture a Black Hole! yes, a black hole. I seriously still can't believe I captured a Black Hole through my Telescope and that Black Hole is none other than Cygnus X-1 Black Hole which was the first black hole to be discovered by humankind. We can't actually see black holes through any wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum because light can't escape once it enters a black hole's event horizon. However, we can still see the effects that a black hole causes on its surrounding space. In this video, I have captured the companion star of Cygnus X-1 Black Hole, a stellar black hole located in the constellation of Cygnus. The companion star of Cygnus X-1 Black Hole is a Blue Supergiant star that completes one orbit around the black hole every 5.6 days. The strong gravitational force of Cygnus X-1 rips the outer layers of its binary star, this forms an accretion disk around the black hole which produces X-ray light!
