You’re inspiring Todd. Seriously, I like several other channels, but yours has a true “down to earth” feel. I can relate more to you. Thank you for providing this content. I usually say …. “comment for currency” because that’s really what it is and dam it, you deserve every dime and more!

looked like to me you had a lot of life left in those sprockets and idlers. I usually wouldn't recommend putting new ones on old tracks either. Best to let them wear together. What was your reason for changing them out?

I think he was just trying to avoid tracks coming off on a job... He may have been told to change 'em and didn't know better until they were side-by-side. I agree... would have just added grease to tighten for any job with inclines and waited until the tracks were shot and replaced it all at once. I haven't seen the entire Idler replaced before... i thought there was a bearing in it you could swap out.. idk. Good Video tho 👍

Aloha Todd , Just wanted to drop in and see how things are going , as usual , looking good . I just changed tracks on my Takeuchi last week . It didn't go as well for me but we got it done . We didn't have much space to work in so it was not a good time .

Pro tip, spray WD40 in your socket before you pull out a bolt and it comes out much easier, TRUCK or TRACK . I've worked in a tooling department for years and give 5 stars for the cleanliness and lube on your machine.

More frequent greasing should help maintain proper track tension to reduce slipping. Of course, you can see the sprocket wear MUCH better in person than we can through the camera. Still, I'd say try keeping those new ones greased up and you should see better results. Your proactive approach to maintenance is better than negligence on either truck or track. 😎

Need to get some real tools if you intend to service your own equipment...can't use a 1/4" impact to remove 7/16" bolts....
