Makes long nights more interesting, lol. Keep up the good work! 👍 Edit: Fun fact; the USS Windham Bay was a real aircraft carrier that served duting the Korean War. My grandfather served on it. My other grandfather served on the USS Ault a minesweeper during WWII in the Pacific. So this story is kinda an homage to them. Brave men, who saved us all.

SPOILER!! Explanation I think?? 36 was part of the original crew from the ship (hence the 1940 candy bar) I think the ship got caught in a storm and when the commanders couldn’t reach them they assumed they’d been attacked by Russia, and launched atomic attacks which extended world war 2, and I assume they just continued fighting until the world ended? 13:04 is when they attempted to send the message about the storm, and he was “closing the rift” by sending the message that never sent, to maintain the current reality where WWII didn’t end everything? That’s all I got lol. Idk how the newspapers got in the ship, or where the bodies all went, and no idea about the radiation either.

I realise that it's really nitpicking to point this out in a creepypasta, but contrary to what 36 said, Iowa class battleships had three turrets, not four. Two forward, one aft, three 16 inch guns per turret. (Although I guess it's possible that in the alternate dimension they shoved an extra turret on them.)

This was a great story. The premise for it was awesome. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10. There is a couple of things I would have polished up differently. To me it seemed too obvious that thirty six wasn't really there. Twenty four kept talking about seven. Which was obviously some trauma to him. Thirty six kept appearing whenever twenty four was in some sort of distress. Whether that be emotional mental or physical. Similar to somebody who's schizophrenic. They create imaginary friends and times of stress. More precisely imaginary friends appear to them. Yeah other than that this was an awesome story. Potential of crossing over between dimensions is always a big seller.

I know what this story is based off of back in world war two. There was a project done by the British in conjunction with the USA as i remember correctly. This project was too make an invisible warship a lot of details are so classified its hard to piece crap together. It is known Einstein worked on this project. The ship sailed out again i don't remember a lot of the details as the program i heard it was along time ago. Like the last entry in the story, the ship sent out a last message although when this was done or what had happened is unclear to public records. We do know they sent one last message to which i don't remember or even if it was made public. Then the ship vanished fell off the face of the earth. Massive search parties where sent nothing they at least expected to find a piece a chunk that a u boat could have done this but the ship fell off the face of the earth never to be seen again. The crew too disappeared there was nothing left they left empty sea burials for there deaths but nothing was ever found. Much like the Die Glocke alot of its details are more scattered im not half way certain searching about this story will yield anything worth trying though perhaps you can give some clarity i cant here.

I'm curious about what weird things 9's cousin in Ohio heard or experienced. I don't think 36 was a figment of the MC's imagination, even if the other characters couldn't see or hear him. Story feels like a reference to a real-life event where a WW2 era battleship disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Ship was never found (I think), but it was said weird experiments were allegedly happening onboard and an experiment gone wrong caused the disappearance.
