@@keithjablonowski1923 Huh esprit can program anything it will make the machine dans macarina if you know it well enough but does Donnie have the swiss package because I know that John Grimsmo is programming his Y axis nakamura and his tornos swiss lathe the way I described, by posting single operations and stitching the gcode, it is a reasonable way to program swiss lathes bcz you to program a new part every two weeks or so bcz most of what you'll get is high volume production and setting up the machine with new tools and touching them off takes a day or two if you don't have quick change tools like donnie have on that lathe, so stitching code is more cost effective than buying a complete software package, some people will manually write the code if they don't have complex 3d surfacing on their parts. Mind that I don't have any experience in swiss machining other than information on youtube and forums so take my word with a grain of salt.
@keithjablonowski1923
Жыл бұрын
Of course. If you are programming only simple parts and longer production it is harder to justify the cost. There is also a lot of competetion for that work. Our customers that invest heavily in ESPRIT and utlize it completely are in another league and do work that others run away from. 😊
