I wanted a lighting system that was immersive and gorgeous, so I made my own using shader magic and lots of time. I have been attempting to do this type of lighting system for nearly as long as I've been working with the Godot Engine, and I am beyond excited to have finally figured it out. I love day / night cycles in RPG games, so now that I have my own, I feel so much more inspired to continue development on my game!
