There is no way this video could do justice to what you lived out there but it's a taste we can only imagine! Can't be more grateful for you taking us along! The whole thing was amazing but that last trail up with the pines and what looked like aloes or agaves was something else. It's crazy like you said to think just about 3/4hrs southwest from me the terrain changes that much. Similar feeling to 3hrs east the beach and 5hrs just northwest you get Canyons and desert. Really lucky yo be where we are. No por nada dicen que la belleza de Mexico es incomparable. Wish I had the courage you had to travel into Mexico. Hopefully one day.

What an epic run! I've seen some overlanding channels from there that ran something like this but your stuff is always put together superb bro. Glad your dad was there with ya to experience it. Can't wait to hit a run like this!

Great video! You captured the essence of this trip very well. I'm so glad you and your Dad enjoyed this trip. It would have been easy to merely drive down and enjoy driving the trails, but when I first conceived this trip I wanted to experience the culture authentically. I think we came pretty close, and that's why this trip is so special. Thanks for sharing this with us. See you on the trails! Todd

Would be great to join on the next trip... One of the best video tag along I have ever been on. It reminds me of my trip to Los Barrilles, Mexico, where we rented ATV's and drove dirt roads through the mountains. We spoke to people living in the mountains far away from everyone.

What you are doing and experiencing you could do in the US in the 1950s. As a kid I would go 4wheeling with my grandfather in his Power wagon in East Tennessee and North Carolina. It was similar to your experience.

We run many of these same rural roads on our #mextrekadv mextrek motorcycle trips 4x per year. Its fabulous. And having done Monterrey to Galeana in one day in a 100 series land cruiser I can attest its fairly rough in a big rig, but you can make good time if motivated. Great people, incredible scenery, Mexico is awesome!

Nuevo León State Government is working on the Monterrey-Colombia NL highway where the border customs office will be located, which is currently more used by carriers, and they are equipping it so that the people of Nuevo Leon do not need to cross to the neighboring state of Tamaulipas and we can cross through our own border and be safer.
