This is cool and totally at a size where you could use it, I love the idea. But making increasingly impractical mini pedalboards sounds funny too, like stereo duchesses each with their own V4 Kraken preamps.

This gave me an idea for an extremely versatile stereo rig for players who play everything and want the perfect balance of versatility, quality and portability-two duchess V4s, one goes to a sheriff V4, the other to a kraken V4 or diezel VH4 preamp. The sheriff side goes to a 1x12 with a greenback, creamback, or maybe G12-65. The kraken/diezel side goes to a V30 or a G12-65 on that side as well. Throw in whatever effects you like personally through the front or FX loops and you got a stereo rig that blends american and British high gain, boutique German high gain, vintage British and american crunch and edge of breakup as well as fendery cleans. And if Victory ever comes out with a Copper Deluxe V4 preamp, you can swap out the sheriff and get classic vox tones if you prefer that, and throw in a 1x12 Alnico blue speaker in that case. Idk it’s just an idea but I feel like this could cover literally everything and use an all analog signal path with all tube preamps.

@Bea - That strat is getting there bro. Every time you hit good drive sound and then flick that switch to the neck pickup, you immediately start digging into the tasty funk rock licks. And you gurn. That means good things generally. Looking forward to hearing "Mick's pups", as those Bare knuckle's have a thing going on. It's just a different kind of bark to the last set. And dirty they sound thick but tight, if that makes sense. They sound very "you".

Hi Rabea, Very very good tones here (as always)... I have a simple question: why don't use the Delay as a split for the 2 amps? The Victory Duchess is a clean amp, right? Maybe you can avoid the A/B box and make a smaller pedalboard? Or instead put a little midi controller to preset riverside and delay :P Cheers!

Bea.. I suspect Martin at victory is in tears again, First you break him with midi spec for the vx100... now the poor man has to design a true stereo version of the v40 preamp... Once the new government guidelines for social distancing on our pedal boards come into play, there will no room for this setup! Peace ✌️

simple complication; I'm running a 3-way stereo with a Blackstar L/R; fuzz, mid boost, delay. very old school thrash lead tone and the center is mono an Orange with bass balls and stacked distortion for the chug/grind. both always on, the one compliments the other just right. no reverb, ever. I want all the scream/thump without the flubb/break-up. one side just clone the other... eh?

Is two V4s really necessary in this case? How about just using another power amp for the second channel since the stereo effects are in the loop? The Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 has the same class D amp in it right? Would reduce the cost and footprint of the rig even more.

awesome, given me lots of ideas- out of curiosity have you ever researched small cabs to go with this rig for those times when there are no cabs available. Not quite sure if thats what your asking but: Id try a Victory preamp (id take the Kraken) then your effects into a Two Notes CAB M into the PA. That way you have the Preamp + Effects + Powerampsim + Cab sim. I wanted to try this a while back but you know.... student... money..
