Andy I just wanted to say I'm older than you and worked mom and pop companies and larger companies as well. Every place had a forklift and every forklift I have ever driven had a a torch blown hole in the forks. No one was ever hurt or even scratched. Some people will bitch about anything and everything. 😊

I'd have to say every forklift I've seen in Western Pennsylvania in eastern Ohio has a whole burnt in one or the other of the forks in order to drop a drawbar pin in. And like you I've never seen anybody get hurt with that arrangement

I’ve been redoing a old 1997 dodge 2500 farm truck. Has the diesel and I believe every seal, gasket on the truck was leaking. Bought it about five months ago and when weathers bad or I have a little time been putting the wrenches to it. Started with a clean pair of coveralls and washed them twice after the first two days. I gave up on doing that and they now hang next to the greasy pig and I said I’m just throwing them away when I get the truck done. If you ain’t dirty you ain’t working.

The reason why the price quote is so much higher is, forklift mechanics are considered, "specialty" service. Parts are cheap but, it's all their labor since again, they're "specialists". As for working on forklifts, just about anyone can work on one, not much to them. Company I currently work for, they have Crown fix Raymond forklifts... what a joke. Lifts are down more often than they run. Hate to bash Crown but, they're a joke at best. As for leaks, a leak is a leak, always need to fix them before they become a bigger leak. Andy, you boys just have way too much fun doing all this work. LOL. Great video as always, cheers :)
