That said, HATS OFF TO YOU SIR FOR DOING IT FOR A 1000 DAYS !!!! I do it every week (on tues - no relation to taco tues ) AND MURPHY hero training has helped me chase my dreams no matter the set back ; no matter what masses say (in one's mind you stay at it) , and finally, at the end of that journey (or MURPH session) you have done what no one can take away from you. Happy wife here - Royce has taught me a lot about the power of taking care of ourselves first so we can better care for our family. Our culture often values us as parents being "selfless" at the detriment of our own health. We actually help hundreds of parents each year on this topic and hopefully you'll watch some of our other episodes where we dive into this concept. Although my husband doesn't have a big "why" in the video I believe it's for his mental health. He's very critical of himself as a husband, father, and coach but most days in this 3 year period, it would only take him 45 minutes to do Murph so he was able to balance that with his family. On the days where he did marathon Murphs or spent more hours in the gym we were cheering him on or even working out with him. Thank you for your feedback!

Heck yeah brother it was an awesome journey. Yeah for sure the first year I got really lean and arms back changed for sure. After awhile I think your body adapts so the change kinda stops lol. 😂 my legs where much bigger just doing CrossFit but with all the endurance your legs get a bit smaller I think. My endurance for sure has 10x it’s kinda crazy. I learned how to do more recovery through out it for sure and learn what foods worked well with me. There’s a lot of cool take away from it and I think everyone’s going to have different benefits. Regardless it’s a great workout and challenge. Just recommend finding a team that can help you when your injuries, sore, or just need someone to relate with that’s always nice. Hope this helps brother 🙏.

Yeah it seems so far at the start I can see that 😭. My first Murph ever was awful lol. At some point it got a little easier and just doing the easiest rep was where it started. Maybe there’s a modification that is great for your body at first brother. I think you can do it at some point. I appreciate you brother 🙏.

Yeah intrestingly enough the physical part became the easiest and the mental was the hardest 😭. You start asking your self “why am even doing this? No one is really going to care? You could just rest no one will know.” You start having these very interesting conversations with yourself and another personality emerges that you’ve never met before. A stronger version, more resilient, and more faithful version. One that’s just grateful for just being. Thank you brother 🙏

@roycelaguerta
21 күн бұрын
lol yeah At first it feels like that brother but your body adapts and if you keep getting one percent better. Im not sure how long each movement takes I’ve never done splits on them but overall it takes about an hour for most but if your going fast it can be about 35minutes. If you attempt it ever I would start out really small maybe a quarter of it or half and maybe modify the pull ups to rows. Then as it gets easier I would upgrade the difficulty. 🙌🏽 I appreciate you brother 🙏.

I’ve really only tried the 5.11 and I had a great experience with it. The 5.11 are really designed to as body armor sometimes it makes it hard to breath just the way the plate covers a lot of the upper body and your belly. I think there are some that have shorter plates so it makes it a little easier to breath but also easier to get lower on a squat. There might be some great floor exercises you can do to build the legs without too much stress on the knee like gout bridges being one of them. Hope this helps brother 🙏.

@roycelaguerta

The longer workouts I had some electrolytes and some days I took Protein shakes but for the most part I just eat pretty much normal. 3 palms of protein, 3-6 fist size of carbohydrates, and 3 cups of vegetables. I do a lot of meditating and I was lucky to have a great massage guy once a week to work the aches and pains. He would also give me HW on the really bad weeks. Hope this helps a bit. I think it really depends on the athlete as well. (size, day to day work, age) If you have questions I can give you a rough blue print of maybe where to start. But keep at it brother. 🙏
