"I don't want to live my life where I have to turn it into content." This is a remarkably profound statement, and is why you have loyal fans and are gathering new ones. You balance the public with the private but more importantly, sharing of yourself does not require the filming it, invasion of privacy and distraction from the real moment. I enjoyed hearing about your journey; the stress that also shares space with the best of times. In a lifetime, these often do come together. I will check out your bucket list composer. I am not familiar with him, and appreciate the chance to broaden my exposure to beautiful music. TY.

It's putting my emotions to words and things into perspective. I, too, am finding it difficult to be on top of things, socialize, maintain the apartment, take care of friendships, plan fun events. I'm not a type of person who coments youtube, but I have to this time. I am a big fan of studio Jibli animation and Hisaishi san's music. And it is what I've been listening for years when I needed support and grounding. So, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and emotions about the concert. I love a number of Miyazaki san's movies, it is hard to choose the best one. Like for me "Kiki's delivery service" is about finding your true self and gaining inspiration, "Laputa the castle in the sky" about strong bonds with people you can create, "Princess Mononoke" about people and word and hope, and so on. "To see with the eyes unclouded by hate" is the quote wich resonates with me a lot lately. "Howl's moving castle" is our family night movie. Sorry for getting too chatty. I also can spend hours discussing studio Jibli works😅

These personal videos are always such a wonderful treat, which is why I would HIGHLY recommend people join you on Patreon where such videos are more common. Hearing you describe your trip to London and especially the concert brought tears to my eyes, I'm delighted you had such a good time. As someone who lives a couple of hours from London and who has, if I'm honest, struggled to enjoy it when visiting (but then I've never actually properly visited it like a visitor, just day trips usually for some particular reason) hearing you talk about it has actually made me want to properly visit there as soon as I can 😀 You have zero to feel guilty about - it makes perfect sense that you want to live your life and not be focused on turning it all into content, and that's one of he many things that brings an integrity and authenticity to your channel that makes this truly the most enjoyable corner of the internet.

I can definitely relate to the stress of buying a house. I bought my first house about 5 years ago. I was 25 years old and buying on my own. It was exciting, but stressful to the point that I was the most physically unwell I think I've ever been in my life. I was having regular spells of feeling panicked and dizzy. I was checked out by my doctor and told I was fine. Fortunately, I got better once I'd settled into the house, so I can only guess my physical symptoms were manifestations of the mental turmoil I'd been going through, which in itself is kinda scary.

I am 56 and have never heard of Studio Ghibli. A quick look on KZitem and I found the music - lovely. I also found someone had mixed it into a Jazz version, which is more my cup of tea. Thank you for sharing your love of Studio Ghibli - Learning something new every day. I love the Internet, I get to discover all sorts of new things. Yes you have gone through a lot this year - moving home, sick parent, personal health scares. Experiencing increased stress and anxiety during these times is certainly normal as you go through life. Life is like being in a boat at sea, sometimes the sea is choppy, other times calm, but always changing. I too have also had several dreams of teeth falling out during stressful times. It is apparently a very common dream during difficult times - very wierd - and so glad when I wake up and find I still have my teeth.

Dear Vera, I like watching your videos not only because they are practical, and helpful, and real. But also because of the calm and soothing atmosphere of understanding and warmth which you have created here. I’m in some kind of a stand-by mode, closing to depression on worst days, because of the ongoing war in my country, deep family and personal issues etc etc. Sometimes I feel like absolutely everything which could potentially go wrong now did go wrong. Videos like yours give me consolation and hope. Thank you❤

I am all with you regarding not sharing life moments as it happens or recording every single aspects of life and turning them into content. I am weird among a lot of people for not taking pictures of everything (food, breathtaking views when traveling/sightseeing, etc). Same as you, I want to be in the moment EXPERIENCE it. I found it seeing/listening things in real life are way better than capturing them in pictures, videos and audios. About Studio Ghibli's move, my favorite is Grave of the Fireflies. I cried my eyes out when I watched it when I was a kid. I agreed with you 100%, watching them in Japanese with subtitles are way better.

When I was sharing more on Facebook, I started thinking in Facebook comments. 😂 I’m so happy that you were able to go to the concert. The music you linked was very beautiful. ❤

So happy with your Joe Hisaishi experience, Vera! I’m also a fan of Studio Ghibli movies. My favorite is Only Yesterday (will remind you of your train to London) Also. Its okay to be unusual ❤

Thank you so much!!! So nice to see so many other Studio Ghibli fans :) I also really enjoyed Only Yesterday, but I was a little confused about how the facial expressions were animated in that one! It felt 'different' somehow :)

The reason I love your videos is because they are so relatable to my life and how I deal with things. I am also highly anxious and get physical symptoms from my anxiety. Your videos help us viewers realize that we are not the only ones dealing with ups and downs this way. I always love your content. Thanks for sharing. Congrats on doing your #1 bucket list item! Who says you have to vlog your travels? Many youtubers have a topic channel and stick to that topic. What the Pho, who has a channel on Vietnamese culture, felt like she was filming her experiences so much she couldn't have the experiences. So she traveled around the country a few months without filming, just experiencing. And she ended up meeting some of her viewers anyway while she was doing other things! She was happy about that, and after her travel was finished, she made a video about what she had experienced during it, and what she would go back to to film later. This fits right in with one of my favorite topics, the relationship between the left brain and right brain as described in "The Master and his Emissary" and "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". In short, both sides participate in everything but they have different attitudes and viewpoints. The right side just experiences, soaking up the context and relationships and metaphor. It wants to have a relationship with whatever's out there. The left side abstracts, removing things from their context. It wants to use and manipulate what's out there. So when you go to film an experience rather than just experiencing, you're always thinking about "What would be a good camera angle?" or "How can I present this?" like the left brain does, and it can get to the point that you can miss out on the experience. So sometimes not filming can bring benefits, both to you and to your video work. I have a millenial friend who wanted us to travel around the state, taking selfies at monuments. It was like that was the only purpose of the trip. I'm GenX so my traveling was before smartphones or the word "selfie". I did take pictures of myself, but not as many, and it was just a small part of the trip.

Hi Vera! 🤗🌺💝 Thank you for sharing your feelings with us! I appreciate this kind of content, and the fact that you still keep your personal life private. Please don't feel bad about not sharing every single thing about your life, or being present in other social media apps. I'm actually happy to know that you can draw those boundaries between work and personal life, and be able to enjoy your everyday experiences without worrying about using everything as content. 🤗🙅🏽♀️🪷Sometimes, I feel bad for those content creators who do that because it's like they can't have a life. I'm glad to know you enjoyed your trip so much and specially the concert. I will be looking into him 😉

Hi Vera! Thank you so much for sharing this video! As someone who is also a HSP and who has anxiety (and who also has weird thoughts about strange things like teeth and hair when overly anxious lol), your videos help so much and bring a sense of calm. Wishing you all the best! Thank you again for this video and all your others too! PS my favorite studio ghibli movie is spirited away 😊

Thank you so much for your vulnerability and authenticity in sharing life, ideas, habits, perspectives and lifestyle with us. I so much admire your leaning back in your sharing, rather than filming every detail as content potential. I 100% agree with not viewing life through a camera lens. There's such beauty in the moments that, for one thing, a camera can't capture and for another thing, ensures that we will miss the tiny contexts and nuances of the moment by being in filming mode. You are exemplary at living your KZitem life with grace. I'm impressed. I've watched one Studio Ghibli movie and I can't remember which one. As a musician and music lover, this is one genre I've overlooked. Thank you for the passionate endorsement. I'll be checking it out. Congratulations on your excellent year and enjoy your October ease. xo karen

When you said the name I was like: 😲!! No way! What an amazing experience! Yes, healing!! That is the word, which perfectly describes it and I think you get the chance to experience life when you watch these art works. When they say the name of a person carries a vibration(which represents the energy of the person)... well, I guess it's true in your case. Do you know Vera is an adjective in a certain language? And it means "true". I don't know you, but I felt (more than heard) almost 100% of what you shared. Keep staying true to yourself! 😊😊

I can so totally relate Vera as I too have had so many things happening over the past 2 years and I find that, lately, I can start crying at the drop of a hat. My younger brother died suddenly in Feb. 2021 followed by my husband who also died quite suddenly. No sooner did I barely begin to deal with that and then my best friend died suddenly in May of 2022, and then my mother passed in September of 2022. I did have the blessing of wonderfully supportive grown kids with the most fabulous in laws too or I may have crumbled. However, I was blessed to be reunited with a man that I loved very much as a young woman and our reunion has given me so much fulfillment and happiness. The problem is that his 2 daughters have made the past year horribly stressful as they want their father to always grieve their late mother, so it hasn't been easy, to say the least but we're determined to live our lives with what time we may have left on this earth and hope that they can accept the fact that their father is happy and isn't that what we all strive for, a bit of happiness and hopefully, love in this world. Sorry for this long comment, Vera, and I'm so happy for you, that you got to hear your beautiful concert and that you loved England so much. ❤ Eng
