When you haven’t been into the situation yourself, you will never understand. Growing up, I thought all mothers love their children but I have lived to see it’s not always the case. Aunty Emelia, I would like you to understand that, NOT ALL MOTHERS LOVE THEIR CHILDREN. And it’s very real. Some individuals are very bitter because of the treatment their own parents give them. Please, let’s all learn from this, let’s love our children, they don’t have to be perfect, and we don’t have to maltreat them because of how someone made us feel during the pregnancy or whatever. Please. It’s sad how these issues mess up the lives of children. They grow up and become heartless. Aunty Emelia don’t try to force the mother to love her daughter, if she doesn’t love her, nobody can change that. Sad truth. I thank God for my mother, and I pray for all those who due to some reasons didn’t get any love from their mothers, it’s not easy. I have friends who are in such situations. Trust me, it’s horrible. But in Africa, we will always blame the children because the elderly is always right. Smh

This young woman's account strikes deep to the core...such painful life story! According to her, she was raped at gunpoint by her uncle, rejected/neglected/ ostracized by her own parents, maltreatment, emotional/ physical/ mental abuse. Her story is really sad and beyond tragic. She needs so much love not necessarily from her biological parents but genuine people that can make her feel like she belongs. She also needs professional therapy to go through all these complicated grieving processes. It's very sad and thanks to Emelia for her program. I don't necessarily agree with how she kept asking if the girl had done anything wrong to her mom. Some people are just so wicked beyond comprehension. This is also too emotional and sensitive for her to really express all her anguish especially on national TV. She cannot force her parents to love her. May God guide her to seek Him so she can begin to move on from such trauma/ tragedies. Even the Bible says our earthly parents can reject us but God will never forsake us 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

Only God can heal her of such rejection. If you ask such a person of what will make her happy, she may give you a reasonable answer but deep down she knows that won't give her the fulfillment she needs. I experienced rejection all through my childhood, i was also bitter and hated everyone around me. I became extremely quiet because i had no trust for anyone. Sometimes, i'll be beaten by my dad and i dnt even know what i did. By God's grace, i have everything i need but i still cry sometimes. To feel unwanted by a parent is a hard blow that only God can heal you of. Money cannot replace the yearning of a parental love. Even if they change, it will be too late because they were never there when you needed them most. Forgiveness helps but only God can heal

Some parents are just wicked. They feel they have authority over their children so they have the right, quote and on quote, to kill their children and there's nothing wrong with it. They literally abuse their power. It's very sad. Even when they do something wrong to their child, they make the child apologise. Hearing this lady's story she owes no one apology.

Even the bible quotes, Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will be discouraged. Parents who keep hurting their children and don't see anything wrong with it is considered arrogance, and God will hold you accountable.

They should try not to force her on her mother, the woman can kill her. She's said it and should even be arrested for that. This girl has not offended her parents in any way, but they have. She owes them no apology!

Emelia, I love your programme, but I think it's unfair for you to keep asking her if she offended her parents in any way. Nothing, absolutely nothing warrants any parent treating their child this way. Even if a child is wayward, he/she is still your child so far as as parents, you chose to have him/her. Abusing any human being is not right. I sincerely wish your guest well. With appropriate psychological counseling and prayer, she can overcome this and live a fulfilling life.

Exactly, i kept saying that! Some Ghanaians need to change their mentality. Parents need to be fully accountable for their behavior when they're in the wrong and stop their arrogance just because they are "older". That "Fa ma Nyame" nonsense needs to stop as well, God himself doesn't even like it.

The hardest thing is knowing the people who are programmed to love you to reject you. It’s heartbreaking. Some parents, in my experience mothers tend to scapegoat a child because of their own trauma and unresolved issues. I believe her completely when she says she doesn’t know what she has done to her mother. But in Africa, we blame the child who is the victim! A mother does no wrong is toxic mentally. And some mothers will use that narrative to their advantage and continue to be cruel to the child because she knows she can get away with it. I feel for this woman. My advice is lean on God. What the world don’t see he sees. Race care of your children and pray you never treat your child the same way. Be Good and leave the rest to God. He fights for the weak.

You've done nothing wrong to your parents. One thing I know, David said in the bible, is there not a course . God has better plans for you life there's a reason for you going through all that .please get close to the LORD and he will direct your path. CHRIST is all you need. Don't worry God is with with and he loves you more than you think.
