When I was child there was no such thing as Nick at Nite, this came on during the day I think on network tv syndicated but was still on one of the major networks at least in DC during the afternoon in the 80s

Lyrics Jeannie, fresh as a daisy Just love, how she obeys me Does things, that just amaze me so She smiles, presto the rain goes She blinks, pop come the rainbows Cars stop, even the train goes slow When she goes by She paints, sunshine on every rafter Sprinkles the air with laughter We're close as a quarter after 3 There's no one like Jeannie I'd introduce her, to you But it's no use sir 2× Cause my, Jeannie's in love with me She's in love with me

Not quite. This is actually the correct intro for seasons 3-5. The actual season 2 intro was much the same as this version, except the arrangement of the theme music was slightly different (similar to the closing credits for the S2 episodes), and Sidney Sheldon's creator credit is missing.

Does anyone remember exactly when the syndicated prints of I Dream of Jeannie had been updated since first going into syndication in the fall of 1970? Some season 2 episodes from this time retained their original intro, unlike in later years when the season 3 intro was substituted. I believe that the shows were converted from film to tape when Columbia Pictures Television licensed the series to (DFS) Program Exchange in 1983 - TBS reran this. When DFS changed its name to simply The Program Exchange in 1987 (after DFS was purchased by rival advertising agency Saachi & Saachi North America, Inc.), in the late 1980's to-early 1990's, it was these I remember from older local, WGN, and TBS reruns going by the 1989 or 1991 CPTD and the Program Exchange logos at the time. The prints were revised again in 1993, just before Nick at Nite's acquisition of the series, going by the CPTD logo of the period, at which point the Program Exchange license had expired.
