Reminds me when I'm in weight loss mode and have reached the "plateau" that everyone moans about. I thought one day that the plateau is really a good thing, it's the stable footing you need to make it the rest of the way or to get grounded to keep on going. :-)

I think I'm about your age, and I thought I would just always be the positive Christian woman I always was... But I've fallen of my metaphorical bike. Am so down, don't know how to get back on. Thanks for being authentic, it is unbelievably helpful. Rose

Sorry to hear that you've fallen off your bike Rose. It's hard going at the moment, isn't it? I had a particularly challenging week last week and was encouraged by a book I was reading that Jesus often went into the 'wilderness' for times of peace and quiet - so I took myself off to the beach for a couple of hours. I'd also read that the first part of 'prayer' is often us just acknowledging how we feel before God - I found that so helpful as it encouraged me to allow my feelings (even the ones I'd refused to acknowledge to myself) to surface and bring them to Him.
