Nice video as usual! So nice how humble Ryan is with his fan base. Some random guy runs into Ryan and he gives the man a few minutes if his time and even gives him the hat off his head. Previous video gives some random man money, more then he even wanted, such a good heart and a man. This is why I continue to watch concrete videos as an electronics technician. Hope big Ray comes back next year for sure, dream jobs aren’t everything if you are working 16hrs a day. Happy New Years to Ryan, the family and the Victory Crew!

Eric here’s a tip on making straight mowing lines. Your first pass is the most important one. So when you do the first pass find anything like tree, shed, signs and find a spot on whatever you find and just stare right at that spot you pick and drive right to it. You will get a perfect straight line then you can use the first straight line to make all your other passes straight.

Been watching all the VOS videos for nearly a year now. I think I've gone back through and watched nearly every single one. LOVE IT! Just wanted to talk about boots for a sec. I'm a GC and Superintendent out in Los Angeles. I build apartments and houses. I'm 26 and almost on my eighth year of work. I love the trades and I love seeing other tradies dominating the KZitem space. As far as the boots though, I have tried a ton of different boots. I used to come home with sore feet and lower back pain even at my age. I do a lot of the work myself, from foundation to framing and finish work like drywall and paint. It seems to me that all of the lower end boots, while some are very comfortable, end up falling apart super fast, hurt my feet and back, and dont provide much support. I then tried Thorogood boots. I absolutely loved them, my feet stopped hurting, my back stopped hurting, and they lasted me a solid 18 months or so before I needed to replace them. I recently ordered my second pair of NIck's boots. I have not received them yet but the first pair I have is great. I believe they are the ranchers, and I just ordered a wedge sole moc toe. I realize that Nick's, along with JK and White's, are extremely expensive and inaccessable to many, however, I must say that making the investment in a high quality, well made pair of boots is an absolute game changer when you are on site all day long. They do take a while to arrive and they are up there in cost, however, they do make everything by hand and they are 100% custom. They do last much longer and they can be resoled and rebuilt if necessary. You do have to do some minor care like cleaning and hydrating the leather but it is worth it in my opinion. Sorry for sucha long comment, just some food for thought for any of the tradies out there looking for a good pair of boots. If you are buying a $120 pair of boots every year, you can pay for a pair of thorogoods in 2 years. The custom boots are anywhere from$450-800 but they will quite literally last you a lifetime if you take care of them, they will just need to be resoled every couple of years. In my personal opinion, the comfort, support, and pain relief is by far worth it, even if you just go with the Thorogoods!

You need to put rebar into the posts and lions to prevent them from falling. Blaine's Farm & Fleet and Mill's Fleet-Farm were one company decades ago. The partners had a falling out, both tried buying out each other, but neither had enough to do so, so they split the company and the territory.

The best way to cold start any machine is by priming the engine. If you slowly pull the cord until it is all the way extended, then slowly let the chord back in, the engine will be able to start and hold strong on the first pull. Saves your arm from having to pull 4-5 times. Any machine can start with one pull.

I’ve watching a few of your jobs, I’m not a concreter but I’m in the building game and I have done a lot of my own concreting at my house to a acceptable standard. One question I have is I see you have a worker who lifts the mesh to ensure it’s doing what it’s meant to while pouring the concrete it seems a bit hit and miss when it comes to consistency throughout the slab, In Australia we have little plastic seats that hold the mesh up. I enjoy your videos and it’s very clear you are a good human, you treat your crew well. It’s interesting most people who live life with a belief in God and a general care for our fellow man and women find themselves successful in business and creating opportunities for others, great see to see really well done. People do not realise the level of responsibility and hours of work behind the scenes it requires to keep a business of your size in regular work.
