Noticed the small o ring was missing off the top of your accelerator pump tube? That won't help. Shovels are finicky, the carb needs to be spotless, make sure your plugs are gapped at 40 and check your pilot jet... get it right and you'll love it! Been riding mine daily for 35 years .

welcome to the world of ethanol fuels! e10 starts to break down with in 10-14 day of delivery. my guess the tank wasnt full and it was in storage where it was very humid and the e10 draws the moisture out of the air. when you store it fill the tank and add a good stabilizer. keep making these cool video!

I cut this out, because you couldn't hear me over the wind noise, the accelerator pump is backed all the way off. I took it for another ride later, I richened the idle mix a 1/4 turn and gave the pump a little bit more, and it seemed much better. Still some more to do

Ethanol is real hard on small engines/motorcycles. It brakes down in only a month or two and causes big problems. Eats rubber gaskets and such. Worth picking up some non ethanol 93 if they offer it in your area especially if the bike is going to sit for any amount of time
@buttcrackcycles

I can get 90 octane non ethanol by the lake, but it's pretty out of the way for me as much as I ride. I think this was more an issue of a contaminated gas can, seems to be doing ok now

All that sediment in the carb is ethanol buildup. With all this new gas (excluding rec fuel) has around 5-8% ethanol in it when it sits for awhile it’ll solidify and gunk up carburetors bad. Rec fuel is old school 0% ethanol

My son bought a Suzuki for his first bike cheap. Needed carbs gone through. Drained tank emptied all fuel from bike. Filled with fresh gas. It took 3 weeks to get part and another week waiting to work on it. Almost exactly one month fuel had turned to crap. Smelled bad and had looked like really fine yellow sand in bottom of tank. I remember when I was a kid getting gas from anywhere lord knows how old to ride our mini bikes never had a problem. Good luck with everything bud you take care and stay safe.

You likely did put in some old gas or gas from a contaminated can. It sure looked like there was some water in there. I wonder if running the torch over those tanks could have caused that much condensation which over time rusted the tank? Aftermarket tanks are usually made from very cheap steel & prone to rust. Original tanks never used to be lined, but every aftermarket tank I look at recommend to line them. So, instead of buying a tank I found a local guy to clean out & epoxy my original. Anyways, so far, so good! Keep it up.

Those front calipers are fairly simple, crack them in half and pull the pistons. As long as there isn't corrosion inside, which you can fix, just a quick clean with alcohol or the brake fluid you plan on useing, don't use anything else, a new seal and dust boot, check that the pads slide easy and put them back on, maybe $10.00 each?

Ethanol, dude. It’ll leave water in your tank if it gets any oxygen, and eat more seals than a great white shark. Don’t underestimate how bad that stuff is for a carbureted bike. If it’s not your daily, get some gas at a marina for storage.

Calipers are full of old brake fluid it becomes to be like jelly. Clogged buddy carburetor is ethanol fuel e85 that is exactly what that is.and you need a support bracket for your carb to stop that from moving or it's just going to come unsealed again.
