Those flip up tables are really neat. Great bargain for $750, much cost close to $5000 new.

From Europe I still believe that our societies - except perhaps the UK - have not still understood what "consumer society" is actually about. In America you've got so many opportunities to find out valuable second-hand machines like this one, for a pretty reasonable price. I LOVE AMERICA FOR THAT!

There really aren't so many opportunities, I continuously watch for this sort of thing and Mini Max machines pop up within a hundred miles of me maybe a few times a year and last year I bought two of those opportunities.

Hi joe do you still have this beast? I have the FSB35 and it takes a lot to make it co-plainer

600 dollars for a new relay switch?

For a matching Euro magswitch, I didn't look too hard though.

It not a normal relay at all. It's an overload relay with nvr function which is used to switch the motor. The normal switches like the one he used normally don't come with overload protection. But you are right, the normal price is normally round about 80 dollars.

I have a FS35 and have been having trouble setting knives properly. Have you changed the blades such that I could ask you a question or two? thanks...John

@@JoeMalovich Do you use a jig provided by Mini Max or do you use another method? If you use a device like the Magna Set, how do you find 'top dead center'? thanks...

@@johngrace199I just use the straightedge method where the blade moves the straight edge 1/8 to 1/4 inch as the head is manually rotated, both near and far side. A much longer straight edge needs to be used to make sure both tables are planar, but I haven't bothered to do that so I don't really know how.

Try making an adapter for the orange shield so you can use it for dust collection in jointer mode.

Looks like a nice machine! Key thing is the speed of switching between jointer and planer modes with these machines I think and this seems like a good one in that respect, will probably want to modify that hood so it has a 4" dust outlet though.
@JoeMalovich

Yes, I bought a used powermatic dust collector for that! $115 @ 1100cfm.
